Oh man same but on PS2. I had slightly more fun playing solo in the first one, but that’s because I worked out how to be a lone survivor if reinforcements ran out and AI comrades were all killed (RIP Lot Krotan). In my version at least, as long as there was a single soldier the match wasn’t over so I basically did Die

can’t wait to pay $9.49 for Elminster to visit my settlement. ... ... ...then an additional $4.99 to actually be able to talk to him.

If anyone wanted to know what Baldur’s Gate III with microtransactions would look like, well, now you get your chance to find out.

your most likely right and i get carried away :P i do a bit of music creation myself lol

I know the whole issue is supposedly Chinese influence and data collection, but what about domestic data collection? What about governmental data collection right here at home?”

Yeah.  This guy gets it. It's less a tiktok ban and more a force of ownership change. Nothing is likely to change

The same thing happened before with apps such as Grindr. It’ll just be sold to a non-Chinese company.

I think it was the innovative parkour motion that added an extra dimension for me. I’m not great at Counter-Strike twitchy shooting, but adding platformer-style situational awareness and a few weapons/power-ups that synergized with it made me competitive in multiplayer.

The titans themselves were just gravy on top of

Not only has an American probably tried this, this just reeks of someone high AF combining random items into a “food”

Yeah, the cheese fondue and dessert fondue are solid, but the meat fondue is pretty lame. I’m already doing the cooking myself and they aren’t really doing much seasoning or anything so I might as well just boil/fry bites of meat at home for 1/4 the price.

Dessert is my favorite there too, although cheese fondue is a close second. When my whole family goes, we usually get the 3 course menu and leave stuffed to the gills. One time, I took one kid there for only the cheese + chocolate courses, and it worked for me.

and if an American came up with it they’d spend a week making fun of it nad yapping on and on and on about it not being how it’s done

I’ve seen a few think pieces discussing nostalgic TV watching like it’s something that just started with streaming. Kinda ignores things like “Nick at Night” and day time syndicated TV that has been a thing for decades.  None of this is new

My recommondation: read the manga. It would be a smaller time investment, and in terms of enjoyability it's efficient because it's all Toriyama, no filler eps or extended powering up. Plus, DB is a ton of pure fun with its humor and sense of adventure, which segues well into what the show called DBZ. I still remember

Maybe 5 years after 9/11, I was listening to a podcast or radio show or a radio show that is also available as a podcast (I forget which), and one of the guests called TSA security theater.  He described it as like Kabuki.  There are elaborate costumes, ritualized movements, and every once in a while someone yells.

It’s like COVID. No one wants to be the entity that was perceived as not doing enough. The shoe bomber guy, one person and unsuccessful at that, created this shoe-off nonsense. Buy hey, can’t be seen as not going the extra, extra mile.

A 9/11 style takeover became impossible once they started locking the cockpit doors. That was the only real change they needed.

Exactly pre 9/11 most hijackings were to more or less fly the plane to “insert place” and by and large most passengers weren’t harmed.  Post 9/11 with the idea that the plane will be used as a weapon itself, it just isn’t going to work, every able bodied person on that plane is gonna go full MMA on your ass, and

The TSA is designed to be noticeable, intrusive, and cumbersome, as a feature and not a bug. If it ain’t creating a whole hassle, then how will the public NOTICE the government is DOING SOMETHING about that terrorism stuff? It is pure theater like that. It is meant to be in your face, and down your pants, by design.

TSA, as useful as a concrete life jacket sonc 2002.
