All the people saying he was ripped off were either going based on the, like, perfect condition everything and/or the eBay listing prices (rather than actual sales). Chances are he was never going to get $850 for that N64 by itself, but he still got over $1000 for a couple retro consoles and four games. Could he have

I guess the legwork is “getting a controller” and I don’t know why I’ve never really looked into the Backbone before. I still don’t love using my phone for this but maybe a small tablet or wifi-only phone would be the way to go.

Hari Nef as (Doctor) Barbie? I’m not entirely sure though, I’m bad at faces.

I would seriously consider a local-wifi only option (I don’t go out much and often I want to game while still watching something on tv with my partner) but the price would have to be (very likely) far lower than it’ll end up being.

If it does use the same Remote Play platform (and I’m still dubious it will until they say so), I think it still has some use - bigger screen, you don’t need to buy a Bluetooth controller that also physically holds your phone up, it’s the same controller form factor/buttons that the games were designed for, and given

My head-canon is that Will Ferrell’s character here and in the live action portions of The Lego Movie are the same character.

Maybe that is what it is then, it’s weird that they announced this without making that clear. That they didn’t make it clear or specifically mention Remote Play makes me think that it’s less capable than that but I guess we’ll see.

Yeah I mean I could be wrong but that’s how I interpreted the “wifi-only” line. And yeah it’s definitely worse, it still has a market but a very narrow one.

No I think you understand it, I think it operates over wifi but not the internet. It can be useful for when you want to play a game while someone else (or you I guess) is watching something on the TV or to play while in bed. It’s much closer to the Wii U Gamepad than the Switch or SteamDeck.

Wifi hotspot? I think it only works on the same wifi network that your PS5 is on, I don’t think it’ll work over the internet.

I never loved the Wii U’s portability because it couldn’t stretch to the two places I might want to uses it, the bedroom and the bathroom. So it just meant playing on the couch and that wasn’t super useful. This PS5 thing at least operates on wifi, so presumably you can use it anywhere in your home.

Haha thank you but I can’t take credit for it, I saw it on Twitter last year when the first season was airing. No clue who came up with it, but it’s too good to not keep.

I’m still rocking my PS4 (and barely playing it TBH) but if this is the right price I might consider upgrading to the PS5 and buying it. I feel like not being tethered to a TV is the only reliable way for me to game anymore.

Not just the devices, but I don’t know how many times I’ve been running on foot somewhere and I see a rock fall from the sky - I just hop on, Recall it, and then jump down and glide where I want to go.

I don’t either, but I guess I just prefer going the more vertical and direct route whenever possible.

I did it for one of the Koroks, but most of the time I don’t already have my horse with me for the reasons I mentioned and I know it’ll be less time to just carry the little guy than to go back to a stable, get the horse, return to the Korok, and then get him where he needs to go.

Breads keep astoundingly well in the deep-freeze, some last up to six months, and they thaw to like-new conditions.

Are horses more useful in Tears of the Kingdom than they were in Breath of the Wild? Because I played through BotW twice and have been playing TotK since launch and I almost never use them. They can’t climb and it feels like they easily get stuck even when not climbing (plus, even though you can revive them, I hate

After a whole season of Picard with mid-thirties Ed Speleers playing someone roughly 20 years old, I think I’ll be ok.

Surprised he didn’t mention that he voiced Rocket for the first time in Vol 3 (young Rocket in the flashbacks, Bradley Cooper still did the voice for the adult version in present day).
