Ignoring the absolute slander on Pike’s Peak, I think any awkwardness from the Lower Decks crossover episode is probably because of how difficult comedic timing can be - this is a primarily dramatic trailer stitching together clips for a primarily dramatic show, the little snippits of comedy aren’t going to work as

There were so many things like this in Breath of the Wild that they never patched, I can’t imagine they’ll bother here either. This isn’t like the item duplication glitches that have popped up, physics exploits don’t really break anything.

My problem with the “the mother died” ending of HIMYM was that it served to counteract the entire premise of the show - go back to the pilot and Ted’s kids are surprised when he describes the charming woman he meets and starts dating as “Aunt Robin”. The entire point of the show is made clear that, even though Ted and

I’ve never seen an episode of St Elsewhere and was born in 1988 and I’m still very familiar with the “Tommy Westphall hypothesis”. The finale may not have worked within the show, but IRL it was revolutionary.

Would love to have my screened-in patio replaced with this stuff, but I can’t imagine that would be especially cheap.

There’s a reason why we have autopilot in charge of pretty much everything except for takeoff and landing. Planes want to stay in the air, which is great in the middle of a flight, even with technical problems, but when you want to force a divorce between the plane and the air, you’re going to run into problems.

I watched the Space Jam sequel on a plane mostly out of morbid curiosity and it really made me appreciate how (relatively) good the first one was - Michael Jordan is a considerably better actor than LeBron James and while I appreciate the sequel’s desire to connect James with his (fictional) son, the whole thing was

I liked 2016 Ghostbusters a lot, I think the things that held it back the most were its connections to the Ghostbusters franchise. Contrary to what you said, I think that it would have been very well-regarded if the originals didn’t exist (or if it were released under a different name).

People are still really mad that a show called “LOST” didn’t answer every question.

Lost - I get why it’s on the list, but I thought the on-island stuff was consistently great throughout the show, including the finale. I loved the idea of Hurley of all people staying behind and becoming the new Jacob. What didn’t work, and this is true of the entire final season but especially the finale, is the

In what way? It costs more than just going to the store yourself, but that’s not generally a revelation. It not being a good deal doesn’t automatically make it a scam.

What’s great about 2023 is just how many JRPGs there are (both new and otherwise) - Final Fantasy stuck with a formula I like for a long time and I would be considerably more bothered by them changing the formula more if there weren’t so many solid options out there. They created a brand and did a lot of work toward

I mean, I don’t know of any audio-only plays that existed prior to the invention of radio, but the overall point still stands.

Admittedly I’m unfamiliar with Thrilling Adventure Hour, but you even mention “old timey radio” - they’d been doing radio plays for decades before podcasts were invented; the idea of scripted, narrative audio shows is far from new or even new in 2005.

Absolutely agreed, I have a debit card but I really only use it when I (rarely) need to get cash out of the ATM. But it’s still worth mentioning because even if you never use your debit card, people can still steal or skim it.

Me either, but most of what I watch on Youtube is movie trailers, clips from TV shows, or video game music compilations. It’s always funny when I see someone incredibly popular I’ve never heard of, goes to show how big the world is (also I’m probably getting old).

I always thought of minerals as, like, an undesirable thing. As in, the better the water was, the better job it did of removing minerals. I never actually thought of them being added intentionally for flavor purposes (which seems obvious in retrospect but I never really considered it).

To be clear, I like water as a substance, but I don’t like (or generally dislike) the taste of it. I might crave water insofar as I might be thirsty or dehydrated, but I can’t imagine ever craving its flavor in the same way as something with sugar and actual flavors more than just minerals.

I’ve only ever had “bad water” and “neutral water”, I didn’t realize it really went past that for other people.

Interesting, I never thought about different brands tasting different.
