I’m not an expert but I think what you have is a convection toaster oven (assuming the fans are used for more than just ventilation). And as best I can tell, the only real difference between an air fryer and a convection toaster oven is form factor - a convection toaster oven typically has a fan in the back to blow

For my money, pizza reheating is still a chore for the regular oven, but I also don’t like pizza to be too crispy.

Isn’t an air fryer just a small convection oven? I’m just not sure how what you have isn’t an air fryer.

Yeah that’s where I’m at. What is wrong with my carpet that cleaning it in this specific way (“disinfecting”) is necessary to do 2-4 times a year? Should I be expecting something growing under my couch in a spot where nobody walks and that doesn’t look or smell bad to the point that I need to do this regularly?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, outside of an actual grill, an air fryer is the best way to cook hot dogs. They made dedicated hot dog electrocuters in the 70s until the microwave killed them, so the idea of buying a machine just for hot dogs is far from new.

The way I’ve seen it is a one-time penalty when you complete your loan, if it’s earlier than expected. So overpaying every month won’t hurt you. I can’t speak as to who all does it though, I was under the impression that it was just something from the credit reporting agencies.

Oh absolutely, 100% pay off the loan early and avoid interest if you can afford it, no question there. But I think that was the point that made me say “wait a second” in regards to what credit scores actually mean.

Amen, it is not my job to try and lowball the plumber or whatever to get a slightly better price. It is 2023, we all have access to the internet and so do they, everyone knows how much everyone else is charging and what’s standard. The chances of them knocking much price off is pretty low and probably won’t be worth

Also, whether a new car is worth it or not depends on how long you intend to drive it. I bought a new car in 2012 and it’s still working great. If I were to sell it today, I wouldn’t get much, but any car, used or new, depreciates a lot in 11 years.

The key with buying a house is the mortgage - if you actually stay for a while, it’s basically like personal rent control. Even including property taxes and everything else, your mortgage can be higher than your rent would be now but in a decade your mortgage isn’t any higher than when you started while your rent has

The list has three MCU movies - Captain America: Civil War and Iron Man 3 as “bests” and Quantumania as a “worst” and I don’t agree with any of them. There are only three other “threequels” in the MCU so far (Avengers Infinity War, Thor Ragnarok, and Spider-Man No Way Home) and I’d put all of them higher than the two

Band is probably a different story, when you get a lot of people on a team or in a group together that all have to practice after school and/or go to special events, going to dinner makes more sense. But I think for most people who are just looking to hang out with friends and/or kill time, it’s probably not dinner

Another one is to not pay off your loans early - doing so results in a ding to your credit score (because the entire system is a scam designed to represent not who is trustworthy to pay back a loan but rather who is profitable to pay back a loan).

When I was in high school (and admittedly I didn’t have a ton of friends and didn’t do much with the friends I had) I don’t remember anyone regularly hanging out at a sit-down restaurant. Go bowling, see a movie, grab something at a fast food restaurant and just hang out, etc. Not never, sure, but certainly not

I don’t rememer the last time I went to a sit-down restaurant and I wasn’t able to just ask the server for separate checks. You may have to do some minor math for something like a shared appetizer but that really shouldn’t be too complicated.

That is true, but it’s interesting reading the original explanation of that from 2004 (https://web.archive.org/web/20070715070534/http://kotaku.com/gaming/announcements/kotaku-faq-022008.php)

Jelly Belly >>>>> Brachs

The Phazon Suit in Prime is great, don’t get me wrong, but IMO the coolest suit upgrade in the history of the series is in the newest mainline game, Metroid Dread: the Metroid Suit

You do you, but even with emulators I’ve never been able to progress very far in the original Metroid and I love the rest of the series. Having started with Super Metroid, the lack of a map in-game is basically a dealbreaker and that’s before you get to all the other aspects that make it (to me at least) so hard as to

I honestly never noticed
