Again, I've never been somewhere nice enough that I would think to call it "fine dining", so I'm just going off of what I see on TV. If the tiny portions are inaccurate,I apologize, but that does go into how I thought when I was younger.

Oh, that was supposed to be a poem? The boundaries between poetry and prose still elude me.

I’ve never heard of Noma before today, but I’ve also never been especially interested in “fine dining”. I remember as a kid watching Frasier, thinking how weird the restaurants he went to were. Like, I could never imagine going to a restaurant that required you to wear a suit and tie only to get these plates of tiny

Yeah, I’ve never had the patience to go shiny hunting, this was the first time I’ve ever encountered one randomly (I’ve played these games enough times, it was bound to happen sooner or later).

I did the same thing in my younger days and one stuck around for (ahem) a while...

I haven’t been able to comfortably use a new phone for years without a PopSocket. For iPhones specifically, they have MagSafe PopSockets now that you can use without any adhesive.

I’ve never caught ‘em all before but I think I have a shot with Scarlet/Violet. The Pokedex only having 400 `mon (and no National Dex) is going a long way (obviously the older games had fewer total but they didn’t have the internet to trade through). Though I don’t know about all the variations I’d also need to get

It can be both - they knew that if they wanted to make them official menu items, then more people would order them, and since they take longer to make than anything else on the menu, they didn’t want to slow the entire process down. Making them app-only allows them to make them separately from the regular assembly

This reminds me of “popcorn mode” that almost every new microwave oven has had for a while now - it’s supposed to automatically cook popcorn to perfection based on its own sensors and programming, but every bag of microwave popcorn I’ve bought basically since then has said “do not under any circumstances use Popcorn

Also, Glass Onion just came out, this Clue design has probably been around internally for months at least to have hit stores already.

Exactly. And, like, I like turning my brain off for a Marvel movie or whatever and just enjoying the flashing lights and explosions, but not everything should try and have that level of subtext.

I just tried to watch a Cinema Sins video to remind me how bad they are and had to turn it off within two minutes because I got too angry. It’s that kind of attitude that is both because of and the cause of so many people feeling how you said, that everyone and everything has to be laid out perfectly logically and

Right, like as much as I’m not a big fan of Titanic, James Cameron has the exact right answer there - Jack couldn’t fit on the door with Rose at the end because the story required him to die. The needs of the movie dictated that he not be able to fit. If you want to claim that the props department messed up and made

See also: the insane way some people use the term “plot hole”. Like, a character doing something off-screen and then surprising you with the result is not a plot hole. A character behaving non-optimally or without perfect objective logic is not a plot hole. Stuff like that, it’s like you people have no idea what

The thing to remember with most of these is that movies aren’t real. There is no objective truth about most of these because they were written to be ambiguous. They never had to actually decide if the top in Inception would fall or spin forever because they wanted the question to be the point, not the non-existent

You’re right (I just looked it up because when you said it, it sounded familiar) - “Yuna” on stage was rival sphere hunter Leblanc, who was disguised as Yuna. I totally forgot that, but the reason we all remember the intro scene and the reason it’s on the list is because of Yuna, regardless of who she actually is.

I never got to the ending of X-2, but I think part of my problem was that I didn’t feel like Final Fantasy X needed anything happier. Sure, it was sad that Tidus “died”, but part of what made his romance with Yuna work as well as it did was the knowledge that one of them (first Yuna, then Tidus) knew it couldn’t last

Yeah same. I tried twice and I don’t think I ever made it into the actual “meat” of the story.

I think the intro of Final Fantasy X-2 is what initially put me off of the game. I first tried playing it right after beating Final Fantasy X, so it was... a shock to go straight from Yuna mourning the loss of Tidus, her love who never was, to being a J-pop star. It was too upbeat. I kept playing for a bit, but the

Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones) and Kaitlyn Dever (Booksmart) were considered for the role of Ellie in the upcoming HBO adaptation
