I just started playing Bravely Default II, that seems as close to proper turn-based party-based Final Fantasy as we’re getting these days.

Oh yeah, absolutely.
I hate that this keeps happening, but it’s not going to stop anytime soon. For a lot of their games, Nintendo could easily release paid soundtracks or put them on Spotify or whatever, but I also understand that a lot of them are likely impossible just based on music rights. So it might be helpful to just seek out your…
Just don’t go there if it irks you so much.
The market doesn’t move that fast. We are significantly more card-only now than we were even five years ago, partially due to technology but also largely due to the pandemic and the (still ongoing) coin shortage, but even now we aren’t at a point where all cash-only places will go out of business. But I imagine…
The problem, I think, is one of being legally wrong vs morally wrong. The people who upload the music and then have to remove it are legally wrong because they are committing copyright infringement (same with people who upload game ROMs). Nintendo is legally in the right to shut down these people because they want to…
Reggie hasn’t been with Nintendo for a few years but it’s not like he did anything to fix this when he was there.
Oh yeah, there are definitely exceptions and they usually know they can get away with it, but most can’t.
And honestly I prefer them just living in the world and being entirely missable, but I get why they integrate them into the story, especially when more often than not now they’re on the cover art.
Sometimes sure, but I feel like in the vast majority of cases a card is faster. Regardless of the total, I pull out my one card that’s always in the same spot and either insert it myself or give it to you to insert; once I get it back, I’m done unless I have to enter something like a tip. With cash, first I need to…
I get that, but in 2022 those extra costs are literally the cost of doing business. As a consumer, I’m not going to go out of my way to acquire and bring cash somewhere when their nearest competitor lets me use my card (unless it’s so much better than everyone else otherwise).
AFAIK the card up-charge ban has a very simple loophole, which is a cash discount. Exactly the same numbers, but phrase it this way and it’s legal.
They can refuse to rent you a hotel room in the first place if you don’t have a card, but if you’ve already accrued a debt at the hotel and your card can’t cover it (or whatever), I gotta think they’ll let you pay with cash.
Yeah, I think that’s more what it is - if I say you owe me $100 and you try to pay in cash and I don’t want to receive cash, I can’t penalize you for not paying me. But I can ask you beforehand how you intend to pay and if you say cash, I’m perfectly able to refuse service to you on that basis.
Haha oh sure, I don’t think most people have a deep fryer though.
Attention to everyone, don’t trust the Pokemon Wiki blindly when referring to legendary counts
I like the looks of these two legendaries, but I also hope the game doesn’t go insane with legendaries. The first gen had five (MewMewtwo, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres) and it was the same for the second gen (Raikou, Entei, Suicune, Ho-oh, and Lugia, though only four are in any one game), but then they started going…
Uncooked hot dogs are great for putting in things, like for Beanie Weenies or with mac & cheese. But yeah, if you’re having a legit hot dog on a bun, don’t eat it cold.
Flying sucks for everyone and everyone knows it, that point doesn’t need beleaguering. Neither me nor the OP think that every Delta or Southwest or whatever flight is actually our private plane and anything that makes us uncomfortable is unacceptable - we all know that people will invade our personal space and…
You’re really trying to be the victim here, grouping yourself in with all the “differently abled folks”. You’re tall! You have advantages in 99% of life! Is it really so absurd that you be forced to spend some of your statistically higher pay on two seats or something in first class?
