Yeah, scaled up it wouldn't be so bad, but it's just lost there between the rest of his back. It's a sad little arse.

I mean jeez this is in no way a brag, but man even I have a better arse than that. That is not a nice arse.

I've never really encountered the extreme versions (although, obviously that doesn't mean they don't exist) - I don't mean to sound dismissive or whatever, but is this more of an American thing?

At least from personal experience, the British education system uses word counts which means there are very few dodges (except for not editing down quotations which can net you some extra words here and there)

It is pretty much a required read when studying Western Literature.

Maybe the term 'PC' has no actual meaning these days and is only used when tilting at straw-people.

Yeah, also if you do anything in British political history from the mid-late 19thc. and early 20th, chances are there a Punch cartoon about it.

The Catcher in the Rye 2: Taxi Driver

It seems to be weirdly uneven - like the Botticelli had the butts burred out, but I swear we've seen Richard Armitage's butt like tonnes of times.

Yeah, I can't see why people get so annoyed about them - they've pretty much been around for ages. If a teacher says 'Heads up, this gets kinda graphic' that's a trigger warning. It's not someone saying 'Okay, everyone who feels uncomfortable should leave.'

It's a boring answer, but David Simon has a great feel for 'normal' dialogue. His characters pretty much always feel like real people.

I guess "Are those your drums?" isn't much of a discussion.

'Bush' is still a silly name.

Like Manikin?

"Couldn't afford a car so she named her daughter Alexis"

Oh boy that gets old fast - especially since many are repeated. Scheer's aren't quite as bad because he dials the fake enthusiasm even further up to a point of absurdity, but I still try and skip them if I can.

Oh yeah, I'm not comfortable with citing Funeral to be honest, because it is not even 'folk' really - they use accordions and such but it is something much bigger than that. The only real reason I mentioned Arcade Fire is that the shouts on tracks like 'No Cars Go' seem to be 80% of what that Lumineers song is made up

Yeah, I love AF, but the yelpy folk-pop that has become a thing in the last few years (Lumineeers et al) definitely seems like a watered-down version of their sound on Funeral. Although the only lesson they seemed to take from that album was saying 'hey' rather than the actual music.

But without it we wouldn't have known what the song sounds like sped up ever so slightly.

Pretty obvious one is 'Wu Tang: 7th Chamber' from Enter the Wu Tang which is reprised at the end as 'Wu Tang: 7th Chamber Part 2' which is exactly the same track just with a remixed beat. For bonus points it also starts with a reprise of 'Clan in da Front'.
