I read (well, actually listened) to that for the first time this spring! I agree with many of the comments here, but I've got to say, if you want to ramp the drama way up, listen to the audiobook with Alan Cumming and Tim Curry. It's a great way to experience this book.

"…are looking to concentrate on gigs similar to the run of theater shows they did at the Beacon in New York and the Fonda in Los Angeles."
Not too sure they're going to replicate that at baseball stadiums and arenas.

I'm somewhat embarrassed to say that I own stock in Yum! brands, due to the splitting up of PepsiCo a while back. Whenever I'm in a KFC or A&W I feel compelled to stand in a corner for a couple of minutes seriously assessing the operation for my proprietary interest.

"Maya, I can’t be funny. I have to save the world." Why does that just break my heart?

Hey, we have OVER 300,000 people. That's 19 people per square mile! Geesh, trolls (as in those who live below the bridge, for non-Michiganders).

I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and a local radio station is waging a campaign to get Kid Rock to play a concert up here. He featured some U.P. sites in a video a couple of years ago, and has apparently never played up here. Now that I know how much of a fucktard this guy is, I can actively root against the

You look back at the discoverers and inventors of this period and can't help but

How did it take this long for someone to post this?

Oh God don't let John Cleese die this year.
I have tickets to see him in a Q & A in January.

No other Todd Snider fans here? Hard Working Americans is one of his projects. That and Ninja Sex Party are the only two I know.

My daughter is a fan of theirs! I sent her a link to the article.

How have I not read that one?
As an oldster, I certainly know who Tinker is, and had the , "Didn't he die years ago?" response.

I got to the video and thought that was the end of the article, but then scrolled down to see that O'Neal was just warming up. That fourth paragraph… wow.

I was so disappointed the first time I saw Paisley Park. Other than some purple landscape lighting, it looks like a creatively designed corporate building, not the headquarters for His Funky Purple Majesty.

They could have added one more by using "Xmas" instead of "Christmas".

Isn't that pretty standard these days? VIP theater seats for an upcharge have been around for at least a couple of years.

Minnesota has weirdly restrictive packaged alcohol laws for the Great Lakes states, as I found out when I spent some time there last year.

You're going to the wrong part of Michigan.

Ah, how carefree we all were in the olden days of 2015!
