College football only isn’t big there because they suck at it. That’s my point. 15 years ago, nobody even knew Boise State had a football team. After a decade of being really good, they were one of the biggest teams in the country.

If they start winning games and making the playoff, their visibility will immediately skyrocket. Sure, there will always be the traditional powerhouses but nobody cared about Stanford and Clemson until they were elite programs.
