What

Hah, this article is pretty much completely related to what my comment from yesterday on the article about the figure skaters was trying to explain (about the weirdness/randomness of that article).
He looks downright normal. I wonder what clicked?
Alabama has the 4th highest death by gun rate of any state. So whatever Breitbart article you got your data from was wrong. What a shock.
I think tinalouisespanties point is a little off, because it’s not that I care more/less about the Knierims’ reaction than some unknown random person (and to 99.999999% of the world the Knierims are entirely unknown, which I guess is part of the weirdness of this article), but that’s not really what the article was…
I don’t think I did at all, because this article wasn’t about average people being numb to the consistent violence in America, this article was about two figure skaters who heard about the shooting and then skated but “something felt off” with their routine. I just found the general tone and lack of connection between…
Yeah, I mean I get that about the fact that it’s an individual emotional burden and I’m fully sure that for these figure skaters it was tough to see that news and then go out there and perform, but I’m just unsure why that is a big enough story for it to get covered like this?
The whole premise of this article seems...off. Are we supposed to feel bad for the Knierims? Proud of them for skating in a circle well after watching the news? I expected them to be from Parkland, or something. I’m sure a lot of NBA and NHL players had a similar experience this evening.
What a miserable fucking headline. There are bad breeders, not bad dogs. Fuck you kindly, George.
Not taking away from the quality of these athletes and difficulty and accomplishment in their competitions, but the Olympics are fucking garbage. The broadcast and how it’s shown, the IOC and the way the Olympics are generally run, this FIS shit...I watched a little on Saturday, and don’t think I’ll be tuning in…
Just in terms of his level of play this season, yeah. I wouldn’t say he “is” a top 10 forward overall, I guess, though.
I partially blame the system, but I mostly blame Holmgren and then Hextall for inexplicably taking a former top center prospect and trying to shove him at the wing from ages 20-25. Still makes me mad.
There is no greater indictment of the Flyers’ coaching and management (worse than MacDonald usage, Manning over Sanheim, Weise and Lehtera still getting minutes) than the fact that Schenn was traded and is suddenly a top 10 forward in the league.
What happened? What were the actual allegations?
Ah okay—I’m a Deadspinner who randomly got sent back to the grays a couple months ago, for reasons still unknown. Oh well.
You are a shockingly earnest person to be in the grays. Thank you.
I wasn’t including myself in the diehard tennis fan part
I saw “A Tearful Dustin Brown Retires” and my heart sunk, as I’m sure will happen to 100% of non-diehard tennis fans seeing this. Glad to see it’s just some random German dude whose back hurt.
Bad take. Oilers and Flyers have two of the nicest, if not the two nicest, sweaters in the league.
Love that the Australian dude calls Brady “bereft”. Do you think Collinsworth has ever even heard that word?
