At least they’re not acting like they’re still high schoolers. Take note Sam Levinson.

And this, Ms. Pugh, is why you never make an enemy of the hair and makeup department.

Unpopular opinion: Jamie Lee Curtis takes every episode she’s in to “Mommy Dearest” levels of pure camp. This wasn’t as egregious as “7 fishes” but the scenery was still totally in danger of being devoured at any moment.

It’s becoming more and more glaring that Carmy is, by far, the show’s least interesting character. Look, we get it. He has to be in constant control in the kitchen because he has no control outside of it. We got that 2 seasons ago. That idea isn’t nearly as rich or complex as the creators seem to think it is.

Sadly, the only shocking part of hearing he was found dead in his home is that Shifty Shellshock was a homeowner.

Unpopular opinion: The mystery aspects of the show work way better for me than the comedy.

Always loved the scene in Forgetting Sarah Marshall where he acts like he’s gonna take Jason Segel’s mind off his ex-girlfriend by sharing this fun day together and instead they end up slaughtering a pig.

Kinda fitting that Manny screwed up one last time and it may have been the deciding factor, as it forced Danny to pivot to another ingredient that ended up being a highlight of his final dish.

Glass Onion definitely felt like it was fun for the cast. Less so for the audience.

The new Maggie Rogers album is a better Taylor Swift album than the latest Taylor Swift album.

I can’t think of a show I enjoyed more while understanding less. Just this week, I’m totally lost. Who were the invaders? What was their purpose? Which side is Yabushige on?

Another obvious influence is The Man from Nowhere. Which totally slaps, if you haven’t seen it.

That last battle was so visceral and awesome, I wondered why the whole movie didn’t feel like that. Those long, meditative sections felt like a totally different movie. And I thought that we, as a society, were done with shaky cam fights?

As a Milwaukee native, I’d love to see better representation of innovative restaurants like Bavette and Amilinda. Not a subpar steakhouse like Carnevor, whose owner was awfully opinionated considering his restaurant has yet to successfully complete the “properly cook a medium rare steak” challenge when I’ve been there.

Quit watching after 1.5 episodes. Have they figured out what they’re satirizing yet?

That dumb little coffee mug that reminds him to be thankful for what he has is really getting a goddamn workout.

Given how much of Fury Road was done with jaw-dropping practical effects, this cheap-looking CGI takes me right out of it.

Theo James is putting together a real nice audition reel with The Gentlemen on Netflix.

Exactly who/what is the show supposed to be satirizing? Seems like a pretty basic question they never got around to answering.

I still can’t get through the Bikeriders trailer without laughing, which I don’t think is the desired response. It’s Tom Hardy’s usual “I’m going to do the most over-the-top ridiculous accent ever put to film” and Jodie Comer replying, “Hold my beer.”
