But I think with some clever design you could come up with an A4 cover that folded in half to A5 and left space for the paper to bend instead of crease. Like those art folders you can get. Could be wishful thinking though.

Yes please! One of the problems with current ereaders for me is that they can't be ideal for both books and newspapers - this can. A4 for a newspaper or folded to 2x A5 for a book - perfect :D
