    @gmuslera: "So they should focus in software, but also giving the control of the software to other companies (google/microsoft)? There isnt a conflict somewhere? "

    1. No way, most of Nokia's money comes from dumb phones, that would be commercial suicide

    @WestwoodDenizen: Might have been pulp 'em or make a desk. In which case, are desks inherently wasteful? ;)

    @sbunny: e-ink is your friend. That said, I'm not jumping on either at the moment, but for different reasons.

    @ninja_togo: This is a games blog and we are talking about games. Most triple A game's have had HDR effects for a couple of years now. Whether cameras can do it isn't really relevant.

    @ninja_togo: Fair enough :) I suspect your thought HDR was dependant on specific hardware, and so couldn't be shown as a video on 'non-HDR' hardware, but that's not the case. It's just 'clever' software (albeit running on a GPU at the time of capture).

    Whoever made that graph needs to be punished for crimes against statistics :p

    @Synthfilker: Thanks, although I'm aware of the mathematics behind it. That site is good though, even has this titbit:

    @ninja_togo: Sorry, I still don't understand.

    @lonewanderer: I find if I have more than one reply, then clicking it consigns the rest to the void (well, hides them on my profile page at least). Easy to miss too (as they take a while to appear, by which time you might have scrolled down and so never see the reply).

    @IMSWAGG: Nice attitude, thanks for sharing. (Also, skies).

    Well, I'm glad the N8 isn't the only Nokia released on Symbian^3, that would have been a colossal waste of effort!

    @nospamsam: Interesting thought, perhaps it could be extrapolated.

    @Synthfilker: Huh, didn't know that. I assumed they still reduced the accuracy for civilian uses. That would explain the explosion of GPS devices around the time (I'd never realised how much they had crippled it, either! [usgovinfo.about.com]

    @Synthfilker: Accuracy aside, I would have though three were sufficient to triangulate any given position in three dimensions. But ignoring that, altitude against what, sea level? (in which case, at what point do you leave and rejoin the ground?) or against some prebaked height map (in which case, what about the ramp
