I think you are just proving that money does not mean you have good taste in cars.
I think you are just proving that money does not mean you have good taste in cars.
It’s time we make cops write checks from their personal accounts.
Just a few bad apples, right?
...they raced. That’s what they are supposed to do. You clear the track after a yellow flag, restack the grid and you race any remaining laps. That’s how it works. That’s how racing works. If you don’t like that, you probably shouldn’t watch competitive racing. Lewis had an opportunity to race for the win and he…
Max won fair and square. They raced for the win and Lewis lost.
The degree to which society has normalized the “well, the cops obviously lied about the shooting, but it’s not that big a deal, let’s focus on what happened here” attitude is really amazing.
So the cops told the public the suspect was outside the car and had a knife and then was shot?
And complicating the problem is that the rail network exists for freight traffic, not passenger traffic; the lines are built for 50mph freight consists, which have right of way over passenger traffic. Realistically, high-speed rail would require separate right-of-way, and as we’ve seen with the California high-speed…
Trains are never going to be big again in the United States. The distances are just too great to manage it nationwide. So no matter what happens, it’ll always be confined to limited regional routes like Acela and slow longer routes like the current Amtrak offerings.
Do you think anyone was looking at Max as the next top driver when Red Bull promoted him? Sure, people could see he had talent, but Red Bull took a risk and it paid off.
Despite knowing it was inevitable, it still strikes me as an odd call. I have to assume a big part of the reason/money paid is the brand awareness/brand ambassador aspect of it. Hamilton is a great driver, but I believe his best years are behind him and the team should be throwing money into finding the next Hamilton.
I’d argue you’re just delaying the inevitable, why wouldn’t you want to get your next top driver ready for the new regulations?
I’m having trouble understanding why they’d pay so much money for Hamilton when he’s clearly not the future. You either start pushing Russell as your guy, or find a young driver to start grooming, maybe both?
The way it stops, and is damaging to the environment is that the person who sold the EV prior to reaching that magic number is that they’re going to be buying another car, starting again from zero.
Energy independence isn’t the worry that it used to be, we net export oil.
Using a two-ton+ metallic land missile to move a human around at 80 miles per hour is bad for the environment is so many ways. Whether we burn oil to do so, or leverage the power of wind, it’s still stupid and inefficient.
They are not practical unless you have a garage and can install a charger someplace out in the burbs. In my DC condo building built in 1981, there is simply no way to add charging stations. Not unless you want to incur a special assessment of lots of money to do it. Most apartment and condo buildings in the city are…
Judging from the pics so far - they probably should start with +/- 9mm tolerance.
And with a base price in the low-$40,000 range, that’s a lot of money for a car that might lose a wheel while you’re driving.
“I’m never going to Monday morning quarterback my cops.” Ouch, that one doesn’t land well. Not saying that hitting the suspect with the cruiser was a bad move, but this police Commissioner needs some media training.
