I just sold my 1999 Oldsmobile Eighty Eight, my grandparents gave it to my twin brother and I when we were 15 as our first car. It sadly rusted out after 17 Erie, PA lake effect winters. It was a phenomenal car, always got us to where we needed comfortably. It had the best outward visibility of any car I’ve driven,

I don’t like the sun burning my head, I’ve owned cars with sunroofs and opened them maybe once or twice per year like 5 minutes.

Sheetz is awesome. I live in Erie, PA solidly Sheetz country, there is no better place for 24/7 bad for you food choices.  The made to order food system they developed became the standard for all other restaurants years later when they decided to put in kiosk of their own for building your meal.

People like their old models.

I rented one of these a few years ago, it was excellent exactly for the reasons you state.  In addition the seats were nicely padded, something that is lacking in most high end cars today.

The e38 has always been a timeless sharp design. My parents are on their third one.

I quite like the simplicity of the interior, one of the reasons I so liked the previous generation Frontier.

I agree, not everyone needs to haul more than two people around and could use the space in the bed.  This is why I purchased a Jeep Comanche.  It's a very small truck compared to this, but has more hauling capacity and a surprisingly excellent tow rating.  My twin brother and I use it all the time for all our truck

I've come across pickups where I swear the bed is above the roof of my Jeep Comanche pickup.

I feel like the Jeep name pulls way more weight than Wagoneer. This is probably a good move.

The last car I bought was flat out of gas, like no movement to the gauge. The nice little car lot I purchased it from ask how the fuel situation was, when I said it was flat out he opened his wallet handed me $100 and said fill the tank and buy dinner on the way home. It was super awesome of him to do that.

This, the new Prius is seriously the best looking new vehicle on the market.

CR clearly doesn't align with my thoughts on vehicles, but that is ok. Some of the newer BMWs finally broke free of the ugly phase that started with the e65 7 series and e60 5 series.  The beaver tooth BMWs I've grown to like, the watermelon grill ones though still are ungainly.  I admittedly have owned most of BMWs

Yep, I have a 25 year old M3 (e36) as a daily, I beat the snot out of it on the autocross course, drive it in the winter and occasionally go on long trips in it during the summer. It’s generally been quite reliable, certainly no issues I haven’t also had with other brands. The electronics are top notch, the engine

This is very similar to the first time we put a trailer on my parents Grand Cherokee.  It was very upset that we were going to back into the trailer that was looked up to the hitch.  Slammed on the brakes.  We immediately disabled that system in settings.

I take this a step farther. I like to buy vehicles that are just starting to appreciate, then run the wheels off of them. I purchased an e36 M3 in 2018 which even with the extra 60k miles I’ve put on it since then is probably worth more then when I purchased it. The same with the Jeep MJ I bought two years ago to use

The glove box on a BMW e38 7 series. The door dropped down to be the glove box like may cars, but it had a party trick. The glove box is on a four bar mechanism so you can pull it towards you. This four bar mechanism consisted of two metal brackets, a nylon strap and one cute gas strut. The handle in the door pulled a

80s and 90s Jeeps with the chunky black plastic handle and big button you press with your thumb. Works great, easy to use, feels solid.

These actually work really nicely, I was surprised using it for the first time.

I agree.  I was just at the auto show in my town out on by the local dealers.  A few of the sales folks were very good and quite knowledgeable.  One in particular though, for the Mazda dealer clearly knew nothing on the vehicle we were looking at and just used the sleaziest sayings.  I couldn't wait to break away from
