I cam agree with this. My mother in particular always wanted a 98-03 XJ, but was afraid to buy because the nearest dealer that would service it was a 100 miles away. She ended up buying a BMW e38 instead, then many years later another e38. We love the e38, I think it’s one if the sharpest and most understated sedans of

Bmw e36 328. Zippy, four seat, easy to work on, rather reliable, and a nice one is great in this price range.

I started with an auto in my life, free car given to me by grandparents. I’ve only ever purchased manual cars since then.

Bmw has been doing this for decades. If you look at their production numbers from the 70s thru 90s, the largest engine module was consistently the best selling.  Proving that people wanted more power.

I absolutely love that Genesis is offering such a car, I really am glad. My only issue is there are so many better older cars for better prices and way better looks. I am very biasedly a fan of 90s cars. I also find most newer cars with throttle by wire and very refined engines lack the rawness and I’m looking for in

I have autocrossed a lot over the years and I suspect a model 3 would be great fun.  I have raced a few cars, e39 M5, R56 Mini JCW, e36 M3, Oldsmobile 88, but with out a doubt the most fun was a stock Austin Healey Sprite. I bet the Tesla feels like the e39 M5 crossed with the e36 M3 and with 4wd.

I dispise cleaning basket weave wheels.  My parents have a set for their e38.  They do look good though.   I on the other hand have Bmw M Contour wheels on my e36, super easy 5 spoke design to clean.

When I saw the new blazer at the Detroit autosomal this year I was quite dissapointed. It just looks like another CUV.  I was hoping for boxy like the Wrangler or the many Bronco concepts we've seen floating around.  Instead it was an edgy looking pod like all new CUVs.

I road in a luxury Toyota minivan in Bangalore India, it was far nicer than any van I've come across in the US.

Congratulations on buying an e36 M3. You will enjoy this life decision. I purchased one just before Christmas as a daily driver as a 20 year old M car scarred me less than owning my R56 Mini out of warranty. I’ve had to fix up a few things, primarily rust, but because of that the M3 was very cheap. Enjoy!

The best vehicle at the show was the Suzuki Jimny, period.

Lol, I guess some people have different standards.  One of the reasons I just purchased an e36 M3 as a daily is because it is quieter and more comfortable than the R56 Mini it replaced.

Would you buy an M2 over an e36 M3? Cost aside, there is a lot to consider.  A chassis that is ballanced for the power it has vs. overpowered restraining itself. Slashy flame surfacing looks vs. sharp understated box.  Interior tech vs. perfect ergonomics with buttons for everything you actually need.  100 dynamic

I had a problem with their coloring schemes when I bought my gen 2 R56. All I wanted was a JCW, red with white stripes. However there were only a few select color combos for R56 JCWs and they all looked ugly to me.  Luckily I found one on eBay that very nearly fit the bill, was a JCW/GP hybrid of sort that someone

I don’t know, it reminds me of pretty much all other new cars with their squinty front ends and harsh swoopy lines. Very reminiscent of everything that copied the BMW e60.

“New product creation process."  nothing that comes out of a process is every anything less than a bowl full of compromises. There is usually a lacked focus on the singular goal or too many goals in a process or committee designed object.

I want one with an M52B28 out of an e36 328is.  Sweet sounding, just the right amount of power, and bulletproof.

The one time I’ve driven one was as an Enterprise loaner. It was brilliant, I loved the simplicity, V6 and the 4 speed auto. It was great being in a rental car that knew what gear to be in since it only had 4 to choose from.

Yep this is exactly what I want. A manual two door Jeep truck to replace the Comanche I had.

Properly setting timing on an engine is satisfying.  I learned the skill at college of all places.  It's very easy and quite rewarding when it improves performance.
