Very much so it looks too. Are those 95 mm wide tires?

This article hits me close. Even though when I was a teenager, I was really into Jaguars of the 60s-90s, I today desperately just want the nicest BMW e36 M3 or 328iS one can buy. I know that it is going to be my next car purchase. Though I am not going to buy it to collect it though, but to drive it daily.
I once tried to change the cam position sensors on mine. The passenger side wasn’t too bad, took about one hour to do both of the sensors. The drivers side though, I spent like 2 hours trying to get the wrench on the bolt, eventually gave up because the darn heater core hoses were in the way. I decided to make an…
Yeah, I have been wondering how hard this is going to be in the R56 I just acquired. I have been lucky so far, the first oil change was done under warranty. Then a few months later the engine blew up so that was replaced by Mini, I haven’t had to do an oil change on it yet. I am glad, I hate doing oil changes in the…
Mmm... The power steering reservoir on the GM3800 Series II is very poorly placed. It is on the back of the engine below the alternator. I went for years with low power steering fluid on my Oldsmobile 88 because I couldn’t find the reservoir.
The Bangle era cars did indeed change the industry as a whole on the design front. That is why the industry is in the garbage hole it has been in for the last 15 years as far as styling is concerned.
I agree a lot with your sentiment. The newest BMW product I will probably own is the 2013 Mini R56 I have right now. In a few years when all warranty is expired, I intend on replacing it with a 1999 e36 M3.
Reinstalling the thermostat on a BMW S62 without slicing an o-ring.
most starter motors are significantly more stout than you would expect. An engine is a nasty load for a motor so one needs a rather highly rated motor to reliably start an engine.
This video explained a lot of why I like driving a manual in the winter time. You always know what the vehicle will do unlike an auto. I would even argue older 4 speed autos are nice for this too as there isn’t a lot of shifting happening so wheel control in the snow is nice. The higher number of gear newer autos…
My family has owned a 4.0 Zj for 20 years, I didn’t know the 5.9 had a difference in appearance.
BMW e38 in black.
You pretty much nailed it. Last summer my Sprite ran daily driver duty several times while my other cars were in the shop. Heck, I daily drove it for 3 weeks straight when I sold my daily driver and was shopping for its replacement. Even on the rainy days it ran perfectly, it has all stock positive ground Lucas…
Super nice looking Sprite! Looks like an MK3 by the picture?
I have an MK2 in green.
Your MGB starts just like my Spirte when it has sat for that long. It will usually kick the starter off on the first turn of the key. The second turn of the key will start the car.
I have been driving manual for 3 years now, never once have I considered doing this. I cringe at holding a lower gear than needed due to fuel mileage. Which unless you need acceleration, there isn’t a reason for anything other than top gear.
There is a noticable difference in driving my sprite with big passenger on board. I can only imagine how big the difference would be with 4 passengers.
The issue with finding a modern equivalent is finding a car that makes great sounds and mechanically feels solid. Really nothing today makes the types of sound that an Austin A series engine makes, which is a huge portion of the experience. It is also rare to find a modern economy car that has the torquey engine that…
I disagree partially. A stock one that is decently taken care of is a great car. My 62 AH Sprite (Midget) has been nothing but a pleasure. I find that driving it frequently really helps keep everything in perfect order.
