You’re also assuming that manufacturers will stand by their warranty claims. As I’ve read, RV dealerships don’t hand you a warranty, they hand you a book of 100 various warranties from 100 various manufactures, plus you sign an agreement that they are not liable for anything that goes wrong...oh, and lemon laws don’t

Same, and I blame the anemic serif font contrasted with the bold strike circle. I know the font pays homage but it feels like a different brand's logo was covered and someone typed VOLVO in Microsoft paint

This EV won’t work for me because the commute to my job is 20 miles each way and once I get there they don’t give me enough money to buy this car.

“I daily a 2001 BMW and I bet its a lot more dependable (an easier to repair) than your average 2011 BMW.”

IDK man, I have a Q5 tdi and I fuckin’ love it. Quicker off the line than the SQ5 30mpg (obviously slower at highway speeds though), and 120k miles later it still hasn’t been the maintenance nightmare I was expecting. Even after they re-tuned it due to the Dieselgate fiasco it still has the power and the efficiency it

I see what you did there

I have one.  That stupid Ford chime, plus the track record of botched launches, and quality control issues.  I don’t know if I could come up with 100,000 reservations, but those are a few of mine.

Counterpoint:

easier to get someone like that to work 80+ hours a week without complaining

The Defender can tow the backup car you’ll eventually need.

Yeah, the towing capacity is the number that jumped out to me. Demolishes the Bronco and Wrangler.

I like this vehicle in theory quite a bit. That v6 and the towing numbers kick ass for the segment and are real pluses. I saw a new 110 coming home from the mountains on Saturday and in person i think it looks very good/purposeful.

I’d love to read this review, but it’s impossible as it crashes my iPhone 12 more than Vin Diesel crashes movie cars.

that's 1/2 ton pickup territory you could tow a nice lightweight camper, or a Bobcat for the weekend

I know whereof you speak: I DD a turbo diesel pickup.

All Touaregs are rated the same regardless of engine in the US. 7,716 lbs.

It’s $5k for a reason - no one will touch it.

There are only ~210M adults in the United States and even if they all could ride an ebike, wanted to ride an ebike, and had a place to actually store one, the short to mid term manufacturing capacity sets a significantly lower ceiling on the total cost of this.
