Strange. I thought it was common for plans to have both individual and family deductibles. Both my previous and current employer, both very large companies, have this in every plan offered.

How effed up is it that the minute your kid is born, they get their own deductible and out-of-pocket maximum? Best of luck to you and your family.

I did this exact thing. The price difference was more like $150 per 2 week pay period to me (the company shelled out more too). Still cost us about $5k out-of-pocket a kid for normal no issue births.

I wonder if even in the days of film, pro photographers spent as much or more time in the dark room getting their prints correct than they actually spent setting up for and taking a shot. I know I spent at least as much time in the dark room as I did shooting a photo.

Back when I was cool, I used to do photo assistance and scouting for an artist who specializes in music work - concerts, artist shoots, album art 13 hours is on the high end for a single day, but really not much time to get the kinds of shots in this De Tomaso set. We’ve also done multi day shoots where we needed a

This whole thing is kinda weird and the source material isn’t good, so you can’t actually tell what the extent of the damage is or if the kid just dragged a rock across ten cars while running around a lot.

My dad had one of these back in the mother-country and I will have one in my collection some day, as has been foretold. I’ll accept a Maluch.

When they first came to the States as refugees, my dad was given a Chevy Vega which he was told he could have if he fixed it, so he did. That might be the coolest.

I thought you were supposed to throw those out as soon as you got 'em.

As a long time van man, I appreciate this. I also thing our ‘19 Odyssey is already faster than a mini van has any business being. An extra 200+ hp? Mmmmmmmm....

My dad was in the Polish Navy (hold your screen-doored submarine jokes, please) while they were behind the Iron Curtain. According to him, when new naval vessels were completed, they had to go out for sea trials manned completely by a Russian crew. When they returned from their trips, all of the navigational

I think it totally depends on the use case. I’m in the Chicago suburbs, where we don’t know what we’ll get but cold during the winter. Like one of your other commenters, I switched to Vredestein Quatrac snow rated all weather tires year round on my daily driver CR-V. That thing sees maybe 7500 miles a year commuting

I totally agree with your assessment. I run those Quatracs on my CR-V daily year round in the Chicago suburbs (2nd season on them @ maybe 7500 miles a year) and they perform great in the snow with my AWD rig. I don’t feel like I need a separate set of snow/summers on that car.

what’s your favorite van?

This son of Polish immigrants loves the pun in their Insta handle!

Open offices are just a way to cram more people in to the same amount of square footage to reduce costs and is done under the guise of ‘improving collaboration’ while actually causing all the terrible things you describe. This is well documented, but management, ya know?

Yup - Porsche 944 ‘exotic’ lolz. (as the owner of an ‘86 Turbo, myself).

Fellow Illinoisan, graduate of the Huntley High School class of 2002, the last class to be called the “Redskins.” Wow, was that fought and dragged out by the locals for “rural heritage” reasons. Yeah, I guess racial slurs can be considered a rural thing. I see some people are still pissed about it. LOL.
