Yup! Perfect.

In addition to the FSM there are usually parts catalogs out there with exploded views and descriptions of bolts.

I ran cars for an autobody shop for a summer. That included taking cars to auction. What a great gig.

See, I knew there was a reason I asked on here. Now to get this wiring harness rebuild, all around suspension, interior, and motor machine/rebuild out of the way first...

We have a friend up the street with a white Cherokee and the black stripe on the hood as well. Love it!

I can dig this approach. I even thought a large sheet of flat vinyl as a test as well.

I knew there was a reason I asked this here. SOLD.

I’m bored and when I’m bored I think about how I want to paint my 944 Turbo project. It’s red and I was thinking a fat black stripe down the hood like the 124 Spider Abarth:

They solved that one in an early episode of Always Sunny in Philadelphia - plastic trash bin. That was a Range Rover, I think.

Yeah. I have a buddy who’s looking at ‘mid-size’ SUVs and the VW Atlas is top of his list because he had an Audi S3 for a year and a half with no mechanical issues so VAG cars/trucks MUST be reliable. My brother-in-law refuses to lease anything but VWs for who the hell knows why. I have another friend who posted all

I knew a guy in college who plastered the entire back of his car with ‘Jesus stickers’ as a theft deterrent. What kind of a sick bastard steals a car with a bunch of Jesus stickers on the back?!

I’ve always heard horror stories about how when German cars fail, they fail hard and expensively but I didn’t believe just how expensive by way of labor fixes could POSSIBLY be until I got a 30 year old Porsche Turbo. Now, I know. I. KNOW.

I use it for my 944 Turbo project. It’s great!

I use Trello to keep track of my 944 Turbo rebuild and it’s been working great so far.

I use a Trello board for this very thing. I have my Porsche 944 Turbo restoration broken up by system in order of when they need to be done before total reassembly and restart of the car. Each Trello card has checklists, parts numbers, and total cost/labor custom fields. I’m able to quickly put them up on my spare

For someone with garage space, time, and desire to restore something cool looking and unique, this is no-brainer territory money. For two which could very well be made into one cool looking and unique car? NP, all the way.

I’ve watched a couple of this guy’s videos before, specifically the snow rally school ones. Very cool. Surprising to see a 944 get that kind of air, too! I’ve also traveled up to 10 hours to off road events, so it’s not THAT much of a stretch. hmmmm....

After I’m done rebuilding my 944 Turbo, I’ve been kicking around the idea of getting a CHEAP NA 944 to make into a rally car. Alas, I live in Illinois. There is no rallying here...

Feels great, right?? We’ve been holding on to my wife’s ‘09 CR-V which was purchased brand new for sub 2% rate, it’s been paid off for four years now. My 2011 Suzuki Equator purchased used at around 4% will be paid off by the end of the year. Not having a car payment is amazing, especially on a car which will be

Nice work, Peter! I’ve become conditioned to click on any article with your name as author. I always read something that is thorough but without fluff. You’ve given me a framework to which to aspire and follow while documenting my own Porsche 944 Turbo rebuild.
