There are certainly parts of long haul trucking, namely the time consuming and numbing but terribly dangerous highway portions, which should and will be automated whether the trucks are electric, diesel, or some combination of both.

It’s like a game to guess if the squiggly line in my Android notification bar is going to be up or down.

I apply the same sentiment to all highway going vehicles.

I’d try to make it next year but have a lunch meeting with Cliff Huxtable at the Four Seasons.

it also comes with a built-in trash can.

Love the role playing suggestion. I’m totally doing that starting immediately.

I just last week or so got my 100k+ mile 944 Turbo motor down to the bare block to go out to machining (#3 cylinder has scoring from a leaky injector, ugh). I’ve been working on it for a year now. This video actually gives me hope that it may get done at some point this winter, especially once everything is cleaned

I, too, spent a little time in Costa Rica; my parents retired to a condo in Playa del Coco. I REALLY wanted to just pack up one of those Suzuki Jimnys they have down there in my suitcase and bring it home. I daily’d a 1992 Tracker for a few years and miss it dearly. My neighbor just won ‘Best Modern Exotic’ at the Geneva Concourse this year with his Aston Martin V12 Vantage convertible - white with a chocolate top and interior. It’s a hot car. He drives it tons, even changes his own oil on it.

Another good show to check out around here is the Meadowdale Raceway Preservation

I use a brand new Macbook Pro as a daily in software dev and design and I can tell you the ‘features’ on it are not just ambitious, they are pretty dumb.
The Surface Book 2, on the other hand, looks pretty useful.

As a professional in software development (ram + cpu) who also does photography, design, and a few other things as well (discrete gpu) and travels a bit (size, tablet) this is EXACTLY the kind of device I would use.

My current daily rig is a brand new Macbook Pro and the pen, touchscreen, and a few other bits and

I live in Chicago and actually prefer a good big slice of bubbly crusted NY style pizza. Everything else is probably right, tho.

Sure, post this RIGHT after I post something about how I fell in love with a VW Fox at 16 which we ALMOST got. Just...mean.

Ah yes, the Panda!

Yes! Looks great.
