What’s not really covered is that *all* modern cars are wildly expensive to repair. All those safety systems have to be re-calibrated, and most importantly, re-insured against future liability. It’s part of the re-calibration cost but even fairly new ICEs get totaled because the cost of re-certifying them for road use

Just practice that figure eight.  Keep practicing

Much like the Air Marshals. You don’t know but they’re there. Had a friend who was former infantry, 6'4" 220+ and kept in shape. He flew 1st class for free upgrade for a good 5 years after 9/11.

So uh, Jalop - this is why you’ve lost respect.

100%. No muscle car is going to compete with a designed ‘muscle’ EV. Not handling, not power, not accel.  Literal family sedan EVs are better than the muscle cars of yore.

The R2 is plausibly a step in the make it smaller direction. ‘Classic design’ on a brand new mfr that barely anyone’s heard of? Not exactly the words I’d choose.

We have a neighbor up at our cottage in MI that’s in mgmt of a Caddy dealership. This convo is probably 15 years old but there was some particular semi fringe model that most dealers didn’t want to deal with. He absolutely laid out the welcome mat on service and specifically catered to those owners. Earned dozens of

and a 10 yr old battery.  Replaceable (theoretically anyway) but that’s gonna add some significant cost to the TCO going foward.

Planes would have a significantly less problem with unsprung weight in the wheels too I’d think? (no idea just making that assumption since planes aren’t going offroading or even city streeting in daily use)

Unobtanium is right there next to WouldntBuyItanium

‘All’ of them which was I believe literally ‘seven’.

tbf these stupid prices are a significant part of why they still have 300+ supply available. Who the ever loving hell is paying SIX FIGURES for a pickup or even 70K for a funsy Bronco that’s not that useful?

I would back off and have them agree to pay for any damages caused by the dog.

I can make a case that you keep one or maybe two loaners for such usage. And suck it up if you get hit with 3 service dogs in a day. A quick vacuum might not be enough if the next person is highly allergic etc.

So the CyberTruck is good off road.

One thing that I find interesting is charge port placement. The Nose seems odd, though I know a lot of designs use it.

The floor is Magna.

just about cost. entirely possible to set up a sonar blanket and actively monitor huge areas in detail. But that’s dozens if not hundreds of other drones.

As long as there’s a nuke involved. Hopefully it actually goes off and we get people to actually realize climate change is real.

Size isn’t this issue (it is certainly an issue though). Instead they’re wildly over complicating what should be a far far simpler vehicle.
