If Honda was intelligent they’d simply slap a battery in a Civic with 100 miles range. Absolutely would sell far better than most EVs.

The problem is we *have* to get off fossil fuels. The only palatable option in the US is EVs. We’d be farther along if we’d started this in the 80s but we didn’t.
Let me call up my 3 consultants, 2 UX engineers and this guy George from SpaceX and we’ll have a 3 hour ppt that could have been an email.
The other half attacked Russia’s fists with their faces. Clear self-defensesky
I’ll agree 3000w per rig is def more than I was assuming. Since there was significant electrical work done in the crawl space, some reconfig of the breaker panel and circuits is allowed in my scenario ;-)
but can’t be done efficiently at a standard house. The amount of electricity needed to run the processors is far more than any home could handle.

Sorry, this always wins

If Lucid ‘under produced’ demand they’d be *buying* cars
We have central heat but a wood fireplace as well. The one thing that helps is our fireplace room on main level is a vaulted ceiling open to the 2nd floor. So we turn the fan on high to blow ‘up’ and it moves the heated air through 2 full stories. Basement though is ice box territory as it doesn’t get much from that.
Fuel air vents reduce this a fair bit. Especially with an enclosed insert and fuel vent, then basically zero inside air is being lost.
Yeah same. Maybe it’s actually some sort of air vacuum setup to ensure the brushes don’t mold up?
Definitely not mechanically inclined but I would always run the engine to empty (with stabilizer so even the drop left weren’t dangerous!) and drain the oil every year. Mostly b/c you’re told you should, and I’d rather do that then pay for engine work.
Hah. I rented my first ‘house’/TH back in the late 90s. One next to us was vacant but I could see a manual push mower left there.
about 4 years ago, I was prepping the mower for winter, and mid oil drain it fell of the bench splattering *everywhere*. Walked into the house and told my wife “that smell in the garage? is us going electric next year”
Or like my retired Aunt....the PHEV has never had gas in it. lol I think she filled it for the first time after 2 YEARS of ownership.
Only if the party spends major money against you. The DMCA/230 was written *by* the big media conglomerates for themselves.
Exactly. The problem is the gap between longer EV ownership and enough turnover for the used market.
Higher resale value? uh, not hardly. Expressly b/c of battery losses, they depreciate *faster* than ICEs.
