I’m in VA and a NY native. Heat is dbl plus ungood even w/o humidity. Spent a month in Tuscon one July, and know my limit is 110 is my ultimate limit even when it’s not humid. I did chuckle at the locals complaining about the humidity of their ‘wet’ season.

83-84 and I’m already soaked in sweat.

VA is way ahead of you. Our HOV’s are becoming HOT lanes with variable pricing! Allowing the single driver to choose to pay to use the lanes along with the free HOV folks.

Exactly. Left lane HOV is a violators “take a chance”.

After the damage we’ve inflicted, I’m sure the universe is thinking “oh you don’t get out of this that easy”

Used to have a credit card that would let me add ‘virtual’ card numbers with limits...and end dates.

Yeah, I wondered if the chutes were deployed purposefully. Seems like the chutes fired a split second before the left side tires blew and started the spin.

I had the same opinion when Hyundai first introduced it’s 10 yr warranty. The cars before that were absolute crap.

Eh, it’s an obvious condition of the scenario that will have been planned for.

in the words of Sheryl Crow:

yeah, 2.5% was where we locked it in during the drops. Just stupid cheap.

to be fair, we have to buy them. b/c we won’t invest in decent public transit.

VA/DC outer burbs, std 5 bdrm colonial 1/4 acre. easy 1/2 mil value at this point. maybe 300k financed totaling 1500-2000 including ins and taxes.

Sane courts won’t but this SCOTUS is bought and paid for against gov’t regulation.

exactly. My analogy is the free market is a wild stallion.

every car I’ve ever owned has had this issue even with 2 back windows down.

My current 2012 honda insight didn’t come with cruise so I had aftermarket put on.

Zipper merge at the end...but I’ll pace my spot from wherever I start. I hate people who zip up to the front.

only guess is the truck option handles seasonal variability better? i.e. in spring thaw/rainy season you can run more trucks?

Do they also prevent restarting the engine?  just curious b/c it seems sorta dangerous.  I get the immediate cut off, but moving it might be desirable at some point in short order.
