new formats/standards are years in the making. There’s plenty of time for even plodding legislatures to address changes before anything even gets to viability.

Do they also prevent restarting the engine? just curious b/c it seems sorta dangerous. I get the immediate cut off, but moving it might be desirable at some point in short order.
Yeah that wasn’t clear to me. Does it shut off *and* disable it from restarting? that seems dangerous in itself for the reasons documented in the above video.
