I think the issue with China is they have subsidized the lithium production below what is profitable for other sources. US has resources but currently you’d lose money mining it. US needs to start subsidizing as well.

While true, the bigger ICE vehicles use more gas so a bigger battery cost is basically negated.
For CO2 cradle/grave, it’s basically a wash if the BEV is powered by 100% coal, with BEV being a few percent better....in the worst case scenario.
Also why we shouldn’t be *increasing* truck freight. Rail is woefully behind unfortunately.
Fission nuclear is the democratic gov’t of CO2 free energy production.
My cousins have a throne version of this. There’s literally a pyramid of steps up to the toilet so you can gaze upon your kingdom!
Ah right, my brain was thinking about it being *any* network packet...but that would result in a severely over-caffeinated computer!
As a kid I can remember one time sucking really hard and not getting anything....then realized I had a frosty from Wendy’s and was sucking on the spoon
Does wake-on-lan work reliably? the sheer amount of wasted power in corporate office computers every night is mind blowing and seems like a perfect wake-on-lan scenario if it worked?

can’t find the correct reply to this comment, but I mispoke when I said ‘EV” trucks need dedicated lanes. I meant ‘AV’ automated vehicles. AI just isn’t up to the task of free range driving and won’t be for decades.
Drivers in some cases aren’t even allowed to open their loads, locked and sealed until opening at the dock. On docks, liability probably says you stay in the cab for the most part.
Well you certainly increased the amount of unsubstantiated information.
No good solutions here, that much we agree on.
Oh agreed. But the 3 years is not BS though, it’s science.
Rail is decided not as in use as it practically can be. We’ve chosen to federally fund roads and not rail. That needs to change. And sadly b/c we made the previous choice it will be much more expensive now.
Sure, except they can’t pay them enough...and stay in business.
