“That you don’t understand...is not a criticism of the research findings”

It’s interesting because it certainly bears a striking similarity to I-Beams used in modern construction. Extra strength with less weight than fully filled out square or circle cross section.

How about notifications that actually have a link to the relevant post/reply instead of just the article and then having to attempt to search for it.  I received a reply, but that reply is nowhere to be found in the story comments, pending or whatever

I had a RWD car towed where they dragged it onto the bed. It definitely did damage to something mechanical.

For an article titled “How to get a booster” there’s amazingly no info on actually how to do that.

My favorite lawn story is from on base housing in the Tuscon area. You are required to keep your yard in approved condition. You can choose either ‘local ecosystem’ or a green lawn.

Fun fact, HOA’s can dissolve themselves.

it’s funny b/c I had typed and then removed “the last time glass recycling worked in the US was 1950s milk bottles”

Your ideas are certainly good, just not implementable in a realistic society.

Press: Will it blow the doors off the competition?

metal is the only viable choice.

And we’re seeing the results right now. People are flatly choosing to not work for pennies in high risk jobs....and companies aren’t raising wages to compensate.

COVID viruses are human made, much smaller and take flight on coughing!

if it’s at least metallic it’s got a shot at degrading over somewhat reasonable timeframes. it’s the plastic that’s the real problem, so assuming they don’t use plastics *maybe* it’s semi ok. I’d still be worried about animal ingestion effects, given the small size and in theory more rigidness than natural seeds.

Hell, some houses have a 2nd AC located *in* the attic, let alone the ductwork for the actual house running throughout (my current house has the 2nd story return ducts up there).

Good point.  I likewise have a metal Toro that works pretty well.  I find manual feeding by hand while sitting in the leaf pile actually goes faster than trying to stand/vacuum them.  More even consistent speed and almost never clogs that way.

I have a Toro that’s probably 5-6 years old. Works like a finicky champ!

the other option seemingly missing is the ‘leaf blower’ on reverse.

And everybody always recycles properly too! </snark>

2011 Kia Soul is just a push button on the dash with proximity sensor for the key. It’s a one way ride for stealing it since it won’t be where they next turn off the car.
