No surprise that comic-con has become an aggregation of everything pop culture in recent years. And y'know if that's the route it's going, why not just call it "Sci-fi Con", or "PopCon"? People would still go. Hell, I'd still go.

God, memetics is so fascinating.

"Anarchy gives the best lulz"

I agree. I'm 25 and I say "lulz" all the time.

The two are not mutually exclusive. I'm 100% sure there's overlap.

It was my comment but I redacted it, because I realized DDoS attacks can be hampered with tiered levels of service. The distribution to the site wouldn't be equal (unless they were all on a premium tier.)

Our 8th amendment protects against cruel and unusual punishment.

If a story like this gets posted and people rage about it though, then you get ample lulz. Trolling 101.

If I'm getting lulz from all of this, I can only imagine the critical mass of lulz that these hackers are getting. When people rage, they give the hackers all the fuel they need to go again.

Edit: nevermind, I'm a moron..

The reason they do it is in their name. For the lulz.

I'm looking forward to the sequel, Kirby's Heligoland

I wish I could double star you. Lucida Grande is such a tired font. Gotham, on the other hand...

I'm aware I'm bitching for the sake of bitching. But for the record, I don't think playing any of those games I mentioned qualifies one as being a "real gamer". I was just observing that almost no celebrities talk about games that aren't the safest or most popular.

I was just thinking the same thing. I mean, I remember when I was a kid, all the jocks and popular girls would ostracize you endlessly for being a "nerd". And it wasn't because you played tame stuff like Mario or Zelda. It was all the obscure shit you were into.

Wow, how very geeky/nerdy/retro of you to play fucking MARIO and DONKEY KONG.

I hope this isn't a double post as my original comment went missing (Thanks Gawker), but seriously check out Monster. It's not "post-apocalyptic", like you might prefer, but it's definitely worth seeing.

This one's for you Leonard Ghostal.
