I completely agree that the Surface is overpriced and the amount they charge for the smart cover only adds insult to injury.

A reader tipped me on Gizmodo to a free program called OblyTile. It does this for any program for free :)

So I just tried that program out (at first I thought it was an app for some reason) and I have to say this thing is really awesome! Sorry for knocking on your choices of app icons. This was a great recommendation :)

I just tried it out and see what you mean. This is awesome!

Some of those icons look terrible, buuut, I have been extremely annoyed with the lack of a minecraft icon and the grey box around my LoL shortcut. I'm definitely going to grab this. Thanks for the tip!

And I've just found the most generous person on the internet today.

My brain is apparently not working well today. I read half a million dollars and then said "ok, that means half."

Thanks for catching that. I don't know why I typed it that way...

Sure, I'm all for renewable energy. I've even done a ton of research on the topic (my highschool class submitted an amendment to the House for renewable energy back in 2008). While I don't have a lot of information on how efficient these things work (they provided voltage but no word on loss of energy) I have to

I laughed at the "INTERNET EXPLODER" part. This is a great ad, kudos to the team that designed it and kudos to Microsoft for losing the frumpy business persona. I've actually been really impressed with the direction they've been headed. I didn't think they had this sort of life left in them.

Sounds need but I have a few questions. How much do these generators cost, what infrastructure needs to be in place for them to work, and what is the expected cost of maintaining them once they're put out there? Cutting the energy bill by half a million sounds like a great idea but I'm curious to see how long it

Register for google music, download a google music app, stream your entire library for free and get the upside of not wasting space on your phone. It's worked well for me but I am still clinging to the same unlimited data plan I've had for ages.

If the biggest complaint you can have about a phone is that it's too heavy then I'd say it's a pretty damn good phone.

TIL that Football is called Griniron outside of the States.

I feel like a basic high school diploma should give you enough intelligence to know what one product is compared to another.

I wouldn't call it manhandling. They clearly let the woman go as soon as they got her off stage and even helped her up after she fell on the ground.

Gabe says Windows 8 is a catastrophe.

This is why I've always preferred the Nook. It supports .epub which can be used on any reading device and hs no restrictions on what you do with the files. I keep a backup of all my books on a removeable hard drive, and I can always plug my nook and and copy the files straight off its internal storage if something
