People that continually insist that cars are a bad investment are idiots. They wouldn’t call a nice dinner out an “investment”. They wouldn’t call getting tickets to a ball game an “investment”. To me, buying a new car is something I do every so often because I like it enough to justify paying the cost.

If you are smart, you can finance a car at 0% and you won’t get screwed too badly. If you are smarter, you will find a decent used car, pay cash and laugh on the inside when your poor friends talk about car payments.
