I, too, am remarkably un-knowledgeable about some things that I do not own or reasonably expect to interact with. For me this includes the specifics of various marketing terms for driver assistance technologies. I do not find it to be unsafe.
Maybe they should just measure the knowledge of people that actually own

I think the days of mistresses ending political careers are behind us.

False. That’s the common refrain around here, but it’s still wrong. To say that demand on the used market doesn’t help the OEM is to assume that new car shoppers don’t consider depreciation when they make a decision to buy. But they do. Knowing how a particular model and combination of options does on the used market

    Somebody’s been reading my diary...

Do it! I’m a bit younger, and I’m already getting to the same place.
I finally bought a lift earlier this year. As everybody that already has a lift will tell you, you’ll wonder why you waited so long. Even in a normal size garage with normal height ceilings, they’re game changers.

Whew is that a confusing comment. Let me try to clarify.

Many of the replies to your comment may be less adept at calculus than you are, because they all seemed to miss the “after factoring in rewards” part of your comment.
And yeah, same. The stations I’ve seen charging different prices are usually bumping it by around 2% for credit card. Depending on the month, I’m getting

Put any additives (sweetener, creamer, flavoring) into your coffee cup before the coffee. There’s no need for a straw or spoon to stir; the hot, swirling coffee takes care of it for you.
I can’t figure out why I don’t see anyone else doing this. Everybody looks at me like I’m going through the coffee line backwards. In

“your garden variety “party,” mostly likely at a bar

Totally agreed. My family of four includes 2 small kids and their modern, gigantic car seats, plus a very large dog. The five of us plus luggage take road trips pretty regularly. I don’t see why we’d need more room than our Golf wagon provides, and we haven’t even had to mess with hitch or roof rack storage yet. Just

You ask the question like there was ever any organization to the grocery store in the first place. That’s how I can tell you’ve never gone looking for the orange juice in the “fruit juices” aisle.

I did some looking the last time they tried hyping these things up, and I couldn’t find a single promotional image of them with sidewalls or a mention of that being part of the plan.
It seems to me that if your product has a big, obvious problem, and you have a solution ready for that problem, you should mention that

Yep, they’ll catch shit. And they’re less aerodynamic with the ribs exposed too. And uglier. And likely more prone to curb damage.

No problem with that. You’re given detail on each recall and can prioritize it yourself.
The scheduled maintenance he lumped in there is a very different thing.

This approach to maintenance terrifies me.

    ... but why?

I’d advise that it’s worth giving somebody one chance to correct.
Nearly 15 years ago, I had started dating someone that carried around a bunch of trash in her car. On one of our first few dates, I noticed a dumpster on the side of the road and asked her to pull over. I started hauling all the trash out of the car into

The question wasn’t what regenerative braking was; I’m quite familiar with that. The question was why it would be beneficial in an autocross. Spencer gave an interesting answer to that above you: It’s due to a quirk (read: error) in the brake balance on the Model 3.

The critique wasn’t that he was autocrossing his Tesla, or that he wasn’t doing some other kind of racing, or anything about the car at all. The critique was for his strawman argument, where he’s trying to disprove some idea that a Tesla can’t handle autocross. Taking your car out to enjoy some racing is great; trying
