I give it a 40% chance that the damage to the bodywork in the rear happened during the photo shoot. It looks like the seller just backed it straight into the wall and said “that should be close enough for me to take my pictures.”

I like the idea of a self-cleaning system of some kind. But I question whether saving bills for 4 years - or even one year - has any value. I’m actually wondering if just keeping the most recent bill from every biller might be all that’s needed. The most recent bill usually shows a starting balance of zero for the

Biggest tech regret this year: Letting some local place replace my broken phone screen instead of shipping it off to Apple for a proper repair. Their “OEM quality, no difference” screen sucked. Next they offered to swap it for a “premium screen” (more premium than OEM, somehow, I guess), which also sucked. Then they

Question for the commenting community: What’s with the association between bro-dozers and anatomical dimensions of their owners?
(Read through some more of the comments if you don’t know what I’m talking about.)

Did they run out of white paint before finishing?
Why are they doing this crap to brand new cars? It looks like my pickup truck, where individual body panel colors are based on which truck at the junkyard I pulled them from.

Holy shit Alanis! That all sounds terrifying. And insulting. And infuriating. Geely really knocked it out of the park here.

Turns out it just looks less capable.

Redundant maybe, but a watch tells the time better than a phone does. Better in this case not because it’s more accurate (It isn’t.) but because it can give you that information without pulling your phone out of your pocket. Before wristwatches, people used pocket watches. They too noticed that a glance at your wrist

Which part is good? The part where the marriage penalty is mostly gone? (I agree.) Or the part where rich people still pay a marriage penalty? (I’m not sure why married rich people are more deserving of high taxes than unmarried rich people.)

Maybe. I could imagine a rear door that had what was effectively a removable B pillar as part of its structure. Then the front door latches into that when it’s closed. I might make for a bulky rear door though.

But that still has a B pillar! Isn’t B pillar elimination the biggest benefit to rear hinged back doors?

I had an insurance agent tell me that I should dump comprehensive on my older/cheaper vehicles. His argument was that if you actually use the comprehensive coverage for anything other than a glass claim, your premiums will be affected in a way that cancels out the relatively small payout that vehicle can generate.
    I

Here’s hoping it’s just on hiatus while they improve the recipe. Because while that beer was an exceptionally high value, it was remarkably bad.

Will the production version be shipped with tires?

Movie and TV cars are very often missing headrests. And I even try to make excuses for them while I watch, to make myself keep trying to believe. Okay, sure, maybe they guy in the show does this totally obscure and weird thing to his car. And it doesn’t contribute to the story, so it isn’t explained to us. That must

If the proportioning valve is doing what it’s supposed to do, it’ll apply equal pressure to front and rear at low braking loads. Then as pedal pressure increases, front bias increases with it.
As to how well the braking system of most cars actually accomplishes this, I’m honestly not sure. Maybe they’re actually bad.

No joke. I live in the mountains, and I also know nothing about automatics. But his question wasn’t about engine braking to control speed downhill. His question was about downshifting to slow down”. Unless he was being intentionally misleading in his wording, which I doubt, he was talking about coming to a stop
