    old.

I may be outing myself here with something more embarrassing than I realize.
I don’t get it. I’m yet to own a car that didn’t have a “proper” handbrake, and it wouldn’t hurt my feelings at all for any of them to switch to an electronic parking brake. I’ve only ever used them for parking. What am I missing?
    I know the

The Kasa smart outlets seem to pop up on sale often. But for some reason the Kasa smart switches never have any deals. Too bad for me.
I’ve got some of both and would recommend either. It’s just that I have very few plugged in lamps at my home; everything is on switches.

A phone not an accessory; it’s a tool. So tell me, can you think of any tool you use more than your phone?
For me personally, there’s maybe one. My work computer probably gets more use than my phone. But most of the time I’m using it I’m actually using my phone too, playing a podcast or something. So your phone easily

Uh, just drink the part that has melted right before you get to the front of the line. Being able to have something to drink was the entire point.

In every state I’ve ever lived, you’re allowed to cross the solid white line, but it’s always discouraged in some way. Either something about “with extra caution” or “avoid if possible” applies. Once that solid white line splits into two lines, that’s when you’re forbidden from crossing.

I suspect it’s really this: It’s not that there aren’t customers that want manual transmissions. It’s that they’re DIFFERENT customers than the average, and automakers and dealers do not appropriately monetize that difference. As a result, the manual transmission isn’t profitable and gets cut.
    The manual customers are

Mock me if you want, but it’s true that reading the word “turbo” tempered my enthusiasm a bit. That has nothing to do with sounding sexy or any other nonsense like that. It’s about responsiveness, which would otherwise appear to be the car’s entire ethos.

Evidently people have the right idea. They all went in and scooped up all the examples with manual transmissions already.
My Mazda dealer told me the same thing. All the manual transmission 2019 Miatas they got in were gone within a week of the truck bringing them. The automatics he got are all still on the lot.

Are you sure about that? A quick search isn’t turning up anything. I thought it used a power split CVT from day 1. I’d love to read more if you have any details on how that worked with a manual.

I don’t think it looked that weird in the beginning.

...but why? Why would somebody go and mirror it. The only thing that accomplishes is to make it weird and confusing looking.

    Clutch pedal on the right?

Interesting. I let them buy back my mk5/6. It was in damn good shape, but it had a cracked DPF. I worry they may have junked the car over the DPF.
Then I went and bought one of those unicorn post-fix mk7s to replace it. I had to pay basically what a brand new one would have cost to get the SEL manual combo. From what I

U.S. (multi-time) TDI owner here. We don’t all suck! And it really would surprise me to learn that the manual transmission sold in much lower numbers on the SEL than on the other trim levels.

Why the hell do they do this? We’re done VW. I’m not kidding.

Neutral: How Much of Your Time Do You Waste Sitting in Traffic?

I do buy manual automobiles brand new. I have twice, and I’m about to buy a third. But I’m not convinced that the ones I’ve bought used haven’t also helped keep manuals around.

    Congrats!
Did you just drop by a dealer and see if they had one? The search tool on mazdausa.com won’t let you search for 2019s yet.
