I read a Facebook rant yesterday about how Starbucks mobile ordering is ruining everyone because we need to stand in line to learn patience and interact with a cashier to learn social skills. I think I can safely assume this person does not like Joey Votto. (Maybe it was Marty Brennaman?!?)

I spent a good time coming up with an angry response to try to DESTROY this comment. And then I realized, here I am, pretty conservative, still reading Deadspin every day because it’s what I do.

What I really want to know is HOW DID THIS AFFECT A BUNCH OF PEOPLE’S FANTASY TEAMS?!?

If that’s the case, the father would be right back doing those exact same things now, which would make a one-year ban just as questionable if the intent was to improve the child’s life.

What a rube! A deteriorating tackle could’ve gotten a one-year $8M deal with an agent, and he negotiated a one-year $8M deal without an agent.

I have a small bladder and have the same insecurities. I hope we never post up next to each other at urinals, because we may spend the rest of our lives standing there.

Did you actually swallow the Kool-Aid that said that “small” government is good (or even possible in a modern, industrial society), and that nebulous garbage ideas about “individual economic freedom,” whatever the fuck that really is, are actual things?

How many hours do you think these people spent browsing the Hillary Clinton website trying to find justification for voting for her. You don’t get to have unlimited priorities and messages as a candidate, and she did not make these people feel like they were her #1 priority. Trump did.

That said, these towns and much of rural/exurban America is FUCKED. The mills and moderate-scale manufacturing isn’t coming back since it’s inefficient. Even if it hadn’t moved to Mexico/China/miscellaneous elsewhere the jobs would be automated away.
