He seemed so sweet on that (I think it was Channel 4?) documentary he did about OCD. Russell Howard, however, seemed like a dickwad.

But its a little derailing, no? The issue is not that he isn't capable or talented or charming or funny, but that Hollywood would prefer to go across the pond rather than giving a capable, talented, charming, funny woman or POC a chance at a coveted job.
This is what I don't understand, send them back where? They are AMERICANS.
Aside from selfishness and shortsightedness, I think a lot of the reaction is coming from a lack of education. I have heard people say the stupidest shit about this in the last week... stuff they wouldn't be saying if they knew even the littlest bit about the human body, or disease, or public health.
Richard Ayoade would have been a much better choice.
I live in atlanta- and work in funeral service. Not going to say there wasn't a moment of drunken panic where I was *sure* that I was going to get an Ebola dead guy and stab myself in the hand while embalming or suturing and die. Die!!1! In bloody Ebola agony.
I live in Atlanta and my Facebook feed is filled with people panicking and upset about this. And of course there are all of The Walking Dead jokes too.
David Mitchell is top five, easily. But Jon is SO awkward and Northern and bitter and he gets SO INTO IT when 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.
I'mma let you finish, but Jon Richardson is the greatest Frequent Panel Show Guest of all time. OF ALL TIME.
Yes! I feel like we (the US) have an ethical responsibility to help them because they are US citizens (I feel like we should do more than that and that we should work to alleviate suffering from disease where we can, but in this case these individuals are US citizens so there shouldn't be any whining about "misuse" of…
BECAUSE ONCE SOMEONE INFECTED CROSSES OUR BORDERS ALL OF A SUDDEN WE'RE LIVING IN THE WALKING DEAD
Oh god I just want Richard Ayoade to host the late late night show now. That man does things to meeee.
These selfish dimwits, spearheaded by Trump, don't seem to realize that we actually have had Ebola on our soil - in addition to dozens of fatal and highly contagious viruses that have called the US home for decades. There are highly secure labs that have been experimenting with the virus for years. Not to mention…
Yes.
On a personal level, too, I got many reactions. On my Facebook, from my friends. It makes me feel satisfied about my work – at least the work I did is so impactful that I'm able to shed some light on this.
THAT HAPPENED TO ME WITH A HOT TEA. It was an old lady who threw it at me because it was "too hot." I ran into the back to basically pour ice down my shirt, and by the time I got back out (not like I was thinking about cops anyway, I was thinking OW FUCK MY BOOBS OW OW OW) she was gone.
People who are truly addicted to the caffeine from coffee are the worst. I used to drink coffee and smoke cigs, and when I quit the cigs, I had to quit the coffee or else I wouldn't have been able to do either. Hearing from friends/coworkers/strangers that "I don't even want to look at people until I've had my…
I had a customer overhand-throw a frappuccino at me at one point ("this doesn't have extra caramel in it!") and another woman who lobbed a half-empty peppermint mocha at me through the drive thru window when I wouldn't give her a $.50 refill (on a $5 drink, through the drive thru, the day after she got the original…
You should have poured it out in front of him, fuck him!
Yes, it absolutely does. As a favor I got a coworker a hot chocolate with whipped cream at Starbucks as he requested, but the place was pretty far from the office so it was at least 20 minutes between when I got it and when I gave it to him. He was sooooo upset that the whipped cream had melted into the hot chocolate,…
