Whelp, looks like the war is over soon. Disney is gonna sue them into oblivion, repossess the holy land, turn it into one giant fucking theme park, and build a monorail between Gaza and the West Bank. For once, capitalism will be the solution to a world problem!

Same here. In college I used to open up my zippo and press the cotton to get some fluid on my hand then light it on fire for a sec.

And once again, the photos are cheap crap that any dickwad with a point-and-shoot and a moderately steady hand can achieve.

My uncle, who was around 15 when I was around 8 or so (so that puts him in his 40s now), used to set his hand on fire to show off all the time. This is not new, for sure. The only difference between my uncle and these kids? YouTube.

OK, I did this occasionally as a teen (maybe 5 or 6 times total). I'd pour rubbing alcohol into my hand and light my hand on fire. I'd then quickly shake my hand off to extinguish it. I learned how to do this from a friend's dad. It amused me and terrified my friends. I never got injured, but I never escalated beyond

So now it's cool to be flaming? After I've worked so hard to become straight-acting? Whatever.

one time I waz making out with my gf and the phone rang, and dude said 'leave my daughter alone' and my girl said who was that, and I was like ur dad, and she was like my dad's dead. Then who was phone?

Oh yeah, I already got one brainless cockwalloper with "we don't yet know if it was rape or just regret"— because as we know, the word "NO" leaves so many foggy areas. Especially when paired with the girl struggling to break away and run like hell. Yeah, real unclear.

"Was she kissing him against her will too?"

As I was reading this, I was thinking that nobody would believe her. The immediate reaction will always be (by most people) is that she's a slut who caused this fine young man to rape her. Or that she's lying and was enjoying it until she realized some low lifes were filming. Take your pick. I should be outraged but

I appreciate that you took some time to read the source, but honestly, I do still find it concerning that your initial reaction when reading an article saying that someone was raped is to think, nah, she probably wasn't really raped. You might want to examine where that's coming from.

She never consented. The situation you described is still rape. Also, "we" are not labeling it as rape; the girl said it was rape, the referenced article said it was rape, and then this Jez article said it was rape. My instinct is not to immediately doubt someone who says she's raped.

The fact that she ran away from him as soon as possible and went to the police to say she'd been raped kinda makes it seem like rape to me...

Not wanting to be having sex in public, and not wanting to be photographed having sex, but having sex in public with people standing around watching and taking pictures, sure sounds non-consensual to me, but way to blame a teenage rape victim for her own rape.

Q: "Do you want this?"
A: "No."

"regrettably public." Yes, if only he had the presence of mind to rape her in private, then he could have finished, and nobody would have believed her, just like all the rest of us who have been raped, so he wouldn't be in trouble. Fuck this fucking guy and his fucking lawyer.

I just found out I'm pregnant and have no protections and I literally started crying in my cubicle. We are a double income family... we could survive 3 mo with out my pay, but more than that? Are you kidding me?

In Mexico you get 3 months of paid leave for Christ's sake. 3 months of paid leave!!!!!

Yup. I work for a law firm with one big office and several smaller satellite offices. The people that work at the big office are eligible for FMLA, but those of us at the satellite offices aren't, so we get maternity and other extended leave "on a case by case basis." I don't think they've ever outright refused

If she were a responsible person she would have saved up while she was employed and purchased bootstraps in case of a rainy day.
