So I typed Robert Rackstraw into Google and the first result was book that came out two years ago explaining the connections between Rackstraw and D.B. Cooper. There was even a show on the History Channel about it called D.B. Cooper: Case Closed. Anyway, more breaking news from the AV Club!
Your take is not informed. Many Latinos and others of Hispanic descent identify with their cultural ethnicities, not their US Census-assigned race. Ask a Guatemalan what race they are and they say Guatemalan. A Mexican’s “race” is Mexican, or they might even choose the region or state they came from. The Census, thus…
This ended about the way you’d think it would.
Yeah, but it made a quadrillion dollars and that’s all Disney cares about, so prepare for live-action remakes to be stuffed down your clamoring gobs for all eternity.
When I first saw the headline of this article, I thought “Oh what a weird coincidence, Lindsay Ellis just did a video about this!”
The AV Club never copy edits, it’s one of their core beliefs. Hence the saying: “You can have my typos when you pry them out of my cold dead hams.”
Not quite in those words, but yeah.
What’s more hilarious: these shufflin’ preachers kissing Trump’s ring/ass thinking they’re going to get something from the man who regularly stiffs people who work for him, or Trump for thinking the opinion of these pinky ring-wearing crooks matters to the majority of black people?
Splinter is a poison that is slowly but surely infecting all of GMG.

I deleted my Twitter a year ago and downloaded my archive before doing it. Literally have never had a single urge to even look at it. What an utterly useless platform.
I came here to say the exact same thing. Well, I didn’t remember what year the short film was from, but I do remember having seen it in school, and it being pretty darn chilling.
I created a Kinja account just so I could mention that they made a TV movie of this in 1996 starring DAN CORTESE and Keri Russell!
Yeah I’m more like... okay maybe don’t eat oysters from Florida (or go to Florida period). Shit’s too warm
Pacific NW oysters are still pretty delicious too... so far no massive hot-tub tides coming in to Alaska or California or Washington.
I think this is more advice to buy better oysters. Gulf oysters are rough. You need those Canadian or, worst case, New England oysters. Water any warmer than that and you’re missing out.
There is virtually nothing you eat that does not carry a risk of infection. This is the worst kind of scaremongering, and you should be ashamed of yourself. What’s more, it’s the worst kind of writing to equate the “briny” taste of oysters with the assumption that it has been harvested from “brackish” water. Brackish…
