Smash it and bang

Nah, I side with you on this one. Anyone's ability to get this "joke" is wholly dependent on whether or not they see a resemblance between the new 6 and a Grand Prix, and I don't at all so this one is lost on me.

It's fair to judge when each additional car costs $12...

*If you have a proper PC, wheel setup, tons of free time, and hundreds of dollars to shell out on a video game, then yes, it pwns.

LOL no Driveclub.

My favorite game ever has like 4 cars, so I don't understand this

Very excited to get my hands on DC this weekend. Been waiting for a good new arcade racer for a while now. Even if the game is pretty barebones (as I've read in all the reviews), if the physics are right and the game is as beautiful as it looks in photos, all I need is a windy narrow mountain road and F12 berlinetta

I wouldn't care. They're barely the Lotus anyone fell in love with. Their products have become bloated, underpowered, and ugly, while also being considerably more expensive than the competition. The leadership is inept, and it's probably a good idea to let 'em die before they dig their own grave any deeper.

Sega Rally for the win, one of my favorite racing games of all time. Between the excellently designed courses, the legendary three-car cast of Celica, Delta & Stratos, solid soundtrack, and perfectly tuned handling, there are few driving games as fun over 20 years on. The sequels are great as well (except Revo, which

Can decide which part of this comment is the most ignorant. "Shitty Yankee car?" "Giant truck motor?" Nah, probably "white trash douchebag."

Not weird at all. Look at any big-ass sedan, AMG Merc or even a Bentley GT Speed or something along those lines. Lots of cars have more power than Vipers, top-of-the-line Corvettes, the Nissan GT-R, or anything in that price range. That's ok. They're completely different cars and besides, once you get to a certain

Except less powerful and less rally-oriented. While I was studying abroad in the UK last fall I happened to see one of these for the first and only time in my life, and I was absolutely mesmerized. It's funny, I'm at a point now where seeing a 458 or Gallardo or any supercar is mildly interesting to me, because I go

Rallisport Challenge was a pretty great game, too. Shame Dice has become a Battlefield factory now.

Mazda needs to stop giving small cars big car proportions. Why is the hood so long? Just because it works on the 6 doesn't mean it works on the 3 or the 2.

Why in the world did car companies stop doing cool stuff like this? If this were 40-something years ago I would so take them up on that poster deal.

Depends on the type of racing game we're talking about. I was glad that Namco made the switch to 60 FPS with Ridge Racer V. The smoother gameplay, combined with the handling characteristics/physics of that game made for a great driving experience. But then 30 FPS also caused me zero problems in any Ridge Racer before

And once again the element of "reality" is completely subjective and not at all relevant. If the lost frames sacrificed your ability to play the game effectively then I'd understand. But they don't. And it's not like you're not getting any benefits out of the compromise.

30 FPS will make the game prettier, enable real-time weather and time of day cycle, allow more cars on track, and generally make the game better in almost every way. And it will help aesthetically as well (why do you think movies run at 24 FPS?). It won't make the cars harder to drive, and it won't make the game

It started to decline after the PSP one. That game was very good, but then Namco decided to copy/paste it across every platform. The PSP titles, 6, 7, and the Vita one are all almost identical. And I'm not even including the awful iOS/Android ports. Laziest development team ever.

Ridge Racer has been a joke since RR6. The sad part is that Namco's recent fuck-ups have caused people to forget how great those first several games were. The first one became the poster child for "arcade perfect" conversions. R4 still stands as one of the best racing games ever made, let alone one of the best looking
