No, they’re really not too young. I have a kid that age and I would easily trust him to be fine 30-90 feet away from me, in eyesight.

You and your calculator sure are doing the lord’s works here, Copernicus. Gosh, I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt over 30ft, but 90ft?? BURN HER AT THE STAKE

This can’t be said enough. When white moms do this shit*, it’s called “free-range parenting” and they get book deals out of it.

And in some cultures people leave infants outside in the snow while they drink coffee inside. Parents don’t need to be touching their kids every minute.

Having little to no available childcare is a serious problem. I’ve heard so many stories like this. While these women are quick to be criminalized, there is never any information or resources to offer options when you’re in a bind. Supporting the mothers helps the children.

This is horrible. If you were born before 1982, almost all of our parents would have been arrested.

I have no idea how my son has made it to the ripe old age of 16 since there were times in his life when he wasn’t physically touching me or tethered to me with a leash. OMG I’m such a terrible mother.

The Duggars might be facing foreclosure.

Uh because legally binding yourself to someone has a number of legal benefits?

I went to a town once that boasts being the home of Nickelback. Someone claims him.

Okay, first of all, I get what this lady is saying but if I ever needed an abortion I would much prefer the tone of whoever is talking to me about it to be “casual”. It’s just a medical procedure, it doesn’t need to be a harrowing and incredibly serious discussion.
I get why she feels the need to apologize, but I don’t

When I get married again, I’m wearing pink, but it’s going to be a ball gown. I just really love ball gowns. But I’ll make it myself (because that’s what I like to do for fun), so it won’t cost more than a few hundred dollars.

I love registry snarking. Keep in mind these are two people in their 50s with fully grown children and their own homes that they’ve lived in for years, so they don’t need shit. Included in the registry:
