I VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE
My vote is for Amy Poehler. AmHamm would be a great couple.
I had a female OBGYN for my first delivery that was as cold-hearted as that ass.
This is terrible and accurate.
He’ll shack up with Amanda Seyfried and the press will go full on diabetic
Clearly, he needs me to save him from this fate. Oh, sure, I take the “much” out of “much younger,” but getting together with me = definitely no babies, no way, nuh-uh. Everybody’s happy. (Estimated duration of happiness: 2-4 days.)
EVERY SINGLE TIME
Oh man. Pretty much 90% of the time when a guy broke it off with one of my ladyfriends because he ‘just wasn’t ready for commitment’ or ‘wasn’t ready for a baby’ or ‘wasn’t ready to settle down’ etc etc. within a year he was married and had a baby on the way.
Wasn’t this that psychiatrist’s prediction for him in Mad Men after the Betty divorce?
THAT IS DEAD ON CORRECT!!!!
You wouldn't happen to have been in Grand Prairie, Alberta for that? It sounds exactly how my mom described my birth. Indifferent medical staff, unnecessary procedures — basically treating pregnancy as a self inflicted illness.
They certainly shave you before c-sections. I can tell you regrowing hair over a c-section incision sucks. Ah well.
Re: your last bit: My pediatrician ended up being out of town when I had my daughter. So she sent another doctor over from her practice. Now, I’ve always looked younger than I am, and my puffy-faced post-birth self was not looking terribly put-together, but I have to wonder how young he thought I was when the first…
My sister-in-law was shaved. I don’t think it’s standard, but they had to do some intense post-labor work on her (she started to hemorrhage), so maybe that’s why.
The mandatory enema and shave are from another (thankfully bygone) era, the same with discussing medical matters with the patient’s husband, rather than the patient, and the rule that nurses must always stand when a doctor enters the room.
That guy sounds like an asshole. What kind of monster doesn’t understand why you’d be excited to see your mom right after you have just become a mother yourself and just belittles you for it? That is messed up.
They only shaved me near my bikini line, because I had to have a c-section. There was no shaving while I was in labor. If I had delivered naturally, I wouldn’t have been shaved. I had two c-sections at two different hospitals.
Not any more, trim yes, but they shouldn’t shave, it actually Promotes infection
No! My baby is 18 months old. They don’t shave you, they don’t give you an enema. I had her at a “baby friendly hospital” so they doctor kind of grabs the baby then she's up on your chest immediately. If you poop, you poop.
