Nope. It was Michigan. But mistreatment of women happens everywhere.

Oh, he is. Here’s a funny story: We met at 21, and fell hard and fast. We felt like waiting a month to do it made us incredibly self restrained, because we “really wanted to know each other” before we did the deed. Hilarious.
Oh, he’s got to be dead, or nearly. He was well into his 50s then.
Discussing my business in front of my husband was NOT standard practice in the 80s. We just happened to be in a horrible little town for a couple of years. They definitely violated protocol. And it was normal to have nurses in a room during a vaginal exam back then. Just not with this doctor.
My only consolation is that he is almost certainly dead now. The old bastard. And my mom WAS a huge help after my kid was born and is still very close to me and my daughter. No one helped me more than my mom after my girl was born.
I was shaved bare. This was long before the bikini wax. I recall the horrible itching that I endured after while it was growing in.
Doctors refuse to do circumcisions? Aren't a huge percentage of American men circumcised? I've never seen an intact one. Granted, my experience is small.
The nurse said “poopie.” Do they still shave women in labor?
I had a ghastly experience with my one birthing experience. The only OB in town had huge hands. Gigantic!!!! And he had pro life posters everywhere. He was cold and took forever to examine me.
“Stepsiblings are also, in the grand sweep of history, a relatively new phenomenon.”
I’ve been a car-girl hybrid my whole life, only with the mouth. It’s the only way to prowl. My avatar.
It was the first day of her life that she was allowed to use the stairs without holding someone’s hand.
Tangent: Queen Victoria was fantastically nutty, but she was far more human and interesting than most people her credit for.
Well, in fairness, the vast majority of native-born Americans think they are morons too. Because they are morons. Dangerous morons.
It depends on how old you mean. I don’t know a single person over 50 who questions the wisdom of vaccines. That’s because we actually knew people who had had polio or lost someone to one of the dread diseases vaccines stop.
It’s been around a long time; someone wrote a book about it, I think. It’s quite possible your local mechanic or salon owner is a Mainstreet Millionaire, if you live in a small town.
My parents taught me to be thoughtful and gracious, so I will overlook the animosity in your post.
“Mainstreet Millionaire” is way different from “Monopoly Millionaire.” All of their assets total a very few million. And since we would never want them to live in anything less than a very nice nursing home, and they are in great shape (hooray!), it’s quite possible they’ll die with nothing, because at least one if…
There are some posts here that suggest great wealth. My parents don’t come close to that.
Their advice was spot on. Continue to follow it.
