What I don’t get is why Toyota is trying to make it look like their boring models are not boring by slapping on an ugly body kit and some wheels. The people complaining about Toyota being boring don’t want a less-boring Camry.

The problem is people don’t know what they need/want...
I’d be shocked if an auction company would expose themselves to the liability of hiring a driver who didn’t have a driver license.
You are just full of bad ideas, aren’t you?
What if it does nothing to cut down on deaths?
Who is senior? Ask a teen! Drawing a line where there is none is discrimination.
He worked for the auction company, it was a Jeep they were gonna auction off he was transporting.
The money you’d spend on a DCT could go to upgrading your clutch.
“He lived.”
The ting is that these “added” parts don’t add a penny to the value and set you up for headaches down the road. I know I won’t touch one. Modded means run. Now, give me a ‘60's muscle car where everything was like legos, then fine.
I had a similar idea: Shift-by-wire and clutch-by-wire.
I’m sorry to hear that.
Apparently, this convo thread sussed out that the actual sweet spot for a Tesla is about 20 mph, and the most efficient speed for a Focus EV is 15 mph. So no, 55 mph does not apply to EVs. And for that matter, it probably doesn’t apply to modern ICEs, either.
My wife insisted I don’t spend more than $5,000 in mods on my new Miata. I think I’ll be able to stay well within that, assuming I get to count the resale of my stock wheels and tires in that budget.
please extend my condolences to your partner.
So then the 2 Series is the Mustang of the BMW world.
sexy blood
So then I guess “A car is most efficient around 55 mph” is a total crock of shit; and regarding Tesla EVs, the actual point of peak efficiency is about 20 mph. Solution: lower speed limit to 20 mph!
This still doesn’t address the previous person’s claim that 55 mph was some sweet spot of sorts for efficiency.
There are losses for going too slow as well, your engine burns fuel just to be running, and not all losses scale the same way with speed. e.g. to take things to an extreme, you get terrible mileage when you’re going 0 mph.
