Car enthusiasts still have to drive to work in rush hour traffic every day. Why would you think automation wouldn’t be attractive to us?

That’s a self-selecting sample. The universe of people that will use a oil lab like Blackstone are going to be the same type that change their oil quite frequently.
Seems effective, but that’s gotta be pretty hard on the axle shafts and spider gears. Wouldn’t surprise me if he eventually grenades his differential doing that.
The dumb shit in this story literally had $4k in savings and he blew it all on the down payment of a car significantly out of his price range. This isn’t a case of “being poor is expensive.” It’s a case if being an idiot with money. Now if the story was abut someone who had $200 in cash and had to take out an…
Yeah, being bad at finances and being preyed on by predatory lenders are not mutually exclusive. In fact, the Venn diagrams of the two groups are almost a circle.
4,000 will buy you a perfectly suitable used commuter car. You don’t need a big fancy truck when your trying to get back on your feet. Sounds like the cycle just repeats itself.
“It may seem easy to write Woodrum off as ignorant of finance, or budgeting, or the car buying process.” That nonetheless doesn’t change the reality that he is.
“a car three cars ahead of you slams on its breaks”

Nobody knew that autonomous cars could be so complicated.
Unless you are hunting and have a permit to hunt, or are protecting yourself from harm with a gun you are license to own, discharging a firearm in public outside of a shooting range is an arrest-able offence pretty much anywhere in this country. Heck, even shooting your gun in your own house without cause or…
WHAT???? Try Florida Statutes 806.13(1)(a)(3) 3rd degree Felony Criminal Mischief and 790.15(1) 1st degree MisdemeanorDischarging a Firearm in Public just to start (also, minus the firearm charge, the felony charge would apply to stabbing the tires with a knife. How you think destruction of property is not a crime…
brandishing a weapon, vandalism, destruction of property, disturbing the peace, all arrest-able offences.
you can’t be arrested for (potentially felony) malicious destruction of property? News to me! Time to fuck with my neighbors!
There are a ton more charges because the dude used a handgun. Unlawful discharge of a weapon would be one, probably get him on wanton endangerment too.
it’s generally a bad thing to commit violence when you don’t get what you want.
Uhhhh... dude...?
Youre blocking my driveway, so let me destroy the tires, so you cant move from blocking my drive way. Makes sense...
Why differentiate between rear and mid if you don’t differentiate between front and front-mid? Seems awfully arbitrary. Why not just use ‘front’ and ‘rear’ like they used to ( and like Italians, or at least Lamborghini, still do ).
Front-mid is a thing, but it is a sub-category of front, not a sub-category of mid. If you call your car mid-engine, it had damned well better have the engine behind the seats.
