That’s the thing about Uber/Lyft- the rider is specifically looking for a certain make/model/color. I bet that girl asking if a Mustang was her Uber was juuuust bright enough not to bother asking a guy in a Miata, but not bright enough to differentiate between a white Ford Mustang and, say, a white Ford Fusion.

THAT’S a joke to you? Wow.

But they’re not supposed to give their address out to strangers.

And for obvious reasons.

Maybe it’s the way you ask :-O

Hence the quotation marks.

None of that is necessary and none of that would prevent idiots from getting into the wrong car.

I don’t think you get how “ride sharing” works.

I find in these situations, about half the time I’m so stunned by the other person’s ignorance that I can’t even gather myself enough to walk them through the logic. Fortunately, the other half I accept how stupid people can be so I am composed enough to say something like “Did Uber tell you a White Mustang was

For one thing, being unfamiliar with the area has nothing to do with recognizing the car Uber/Lyft said was picking you up. For another, it is now more common for the signs to glow at night for even easier spotting.

the sorts of people who drive 1997 Ford Aspires.

A 5.0 in a BRZ would be great, but a tight squeeze in such a small car. A mustang would have to be a little bigger than that. But damn, Ford, at least strive for BRZ dimensions, not Explorer dimensions.

Yeah, basically closer to BRZ in size, but not limited to a NA 4 banger and low rent interior of the Toyobaru.

I always thought I’d like the Mustang a lot more if it were similar dimensions to the original. The modern car is too big. Same for the Camaro.

Those wheels aren’t chrome; they’re barely even polished. But they do have that cheap Pep Boys look to them. The sidewall ratio looks fine to me, so it must just be the wheel design.

I test drove one about 5-7 years ago when helping my grandma shop for a car. I almost didn’t see two pedestrians at two separate intersections and immediately removed the Fit from the list of considerations.

Terrible A-pillar blind spot, especially for a new, teen driver.

That’s only if you start out in Philly. If you start our in San Diego, you end up in the Altai mountains of Mongolia.

Yep! The time I rode my friend’s I kept thinking two things:

Nice article. It’s great to see a long-term test.
