All makes sold in the US have to meet CAFE standards, not just American brands. American auto manufacturers don’t bring the same talent to the table that their Japanese and German competitors do.

At this point, the DMV has earned such a terrible reputation it would be impossible for a decent person to seek employment there, leaving only the stereotypical DMV-quality people to find jobs there, creating a self-fulfilling prophecy.

All young people get shit from cops. I went to high school in an upper-middle class area and teens were always the target for cops. This is because A) teens are generally shitty drivers/people and B) cops are bored. You literally grow out of this problem when you complete puberty.

I don’t know that I have enough faith in modern FCA products to seriously consider owning one (the 124 Spider is a Miata in drag and therefore an exception).

Yes- the new concepts look like the old car, therefore they will catch fire like the old car. That’s how real life works.

This is probably true at lower level brand dealers. But high-line brands strive for a higher caliber, even when the dealership itself pushes high pressure sales. And I still believe any salesperson who continues to lose customers for their ineptitude would eventually up their game for the sake of their own wallet.

There is a big difference in shady business practices leading to a sale and shitty salespeople losing deals due to their incompetence.
