Right, so free trip and discount. I don’t know who wouldn’t take that deal when buying a new Volvo. I’m planning a vacation to the Netherlands and France and am kinda bummed I’m NOT in the market for a Volvo. I’d happily make a third stop for a free flight.

Sure, and this is how negotiations work. For every customer who get’s frustrated at a salesperson not giving away their hand, there is a salesperson who has experienced the opposite:

I was under the impression that you also get a discount on the Volvo when doing Euro delivery. Either way, you’re either getting a discount or you’re getting free flight.

The V40 with the Focus RS power train would be AMAZING. Even if Ford and Volvo still had a thing going, though, that wouldn’t happen :-/

As a former (reformed?) car salesperson, I will say that I wish more customers would tell their weak-ass salespeople WHY they lost a customer. Most of my coworkers were morons and didn’t know jack about their product line.

I can tell you for a fact that my local McD’s and In N Outs are staffed by several college students. My wife swung through the McD’s drive through late one night and had to wait a few minutes for her order, so she got chatting with the person at the drive-thru window.

Yeah, Tracy Dawson, 53 (going on 83)! Being chronically unemployed/unemployable takes a real MAN! A man’s man (no homo). It’s a real dirt-under-your-nails, use elbow grease, tough job- being unemployed. Women can’t handle it. /s

The amount of motorcycle hate on this car blog is what really astounds me. I mean, a Prius is a popular punchline in the auto enthusiast community, but some of these folks really hate motorcycles.

Comparing the fun factor to something like a Corolla is a low bar. No one will compare the hybrid Mustang to a Corolla; people will compared the hybrid Mustang to the non-Hybrid Mustangs, so in that sense the hybrid is losing out of the gate with the added weight.

I proud of you. It takes a strong person to come out as a Prius owner on a car blog. :-P

You missed the chance to listen to a not-very-funny guy read Reddit comments. The worst part is that he didn’t even read the comments well; he didn’t emphasize the right words much of the time, and generally didn’t seem to get the jokes he was reading.
