This is an obvious one, but in the same roadside memorial episode where he gets mad at the woman at the front of the line for sampling all of the flavors at the ice cream store. Of course, the woman ends up not buying anything. He tells her she’s abusing her sampling privilege. This also makes me see red.

It’s weird that saying “30,000 dead, many of them civilians, is a bad thing, and maybe we shouldn’t indiscriminately kill aid workers” is considered controversial by some people.

This has never happened to me as I’ve never donated a wing to a library/hospital/what have you, but my favourite Larry David gripe is probably still ‘The Anonymous Donor’. Larry donates a wing to a library(?) which is named The Larry David Wing. Ted Danson donates a wing as well. It’s labeled ‘Anonymous’ but he still

Probably the chat and cut. In college I missed seeing a sneak preview of “Mean Girls” that I had waited an hour in line for because some people chatted and cut.

Look. I know we’re suppose to be a civilized, polite society and have rules for assault and all that. But Bill Maher really is the type of person that should be punched in the face more often for his douchebag behavior.

He didn’t reveal who those “certain people” (plural!) actually were and it seems unlikely that he will in the future, but for the record, his co-stars for the majority of the show were Bryan Cranston, Justin Berfield, Erik Per Sullivan, Jane Kaczmarek, and Christopher Masterson.

The incidents described last week — where Cohen allegedly pressured Wilson to go nude and told her to stick her finger up his butt for a scene — were clearly inappropriate. I feel a little more mixed about the incidents described here.

I got the sense for awhile, post-ST, that Disney was floating all these names and soliciting scripts in order to gauge crowd reaction and see what was the safest bet to go forward. Patty Jenkins was doing something on the strength of WW... until WW84 flopped and then she was out. Benioff and Weiss were doing something

My partner finally talked me into binge-watching Game of Thrones this year. It was my first time watching it. Admittedly, the first few seasons are pretty great, and the last few are visually impressive, but I agree with everyone saying that the last season was rushed. As for Benioff & Weiss, well… yeah, the quality

Even worse is that Ebert’s example of a non-exploitative role is Schneider in Last Tango in Paris...

Baldwin’s line reading of, “Normally he’s a very nice guy. Don’t judge him from this meeting alone,” about Dignam always cracks me up.

“I’m the guy who does his job. You must be the other guy.”

I’m not a Wahlberg fan generally, but he’s funny and memorable in the Dignam role. He makes a big impression in a short amount of time on screen, in a cast that is utterly stacked.  Stealing scenes that have DiCaprio, Baldwin, and Sheen in them is quite a feat.

Until I read two lines further down, I thought, “Dark Knight Rises was one of her best roles in one of her best movies? Huh.” I forgot about Interstellar. Her Catwoman was fine, but I’d say that claim goes to Pfeiffer.

Has he changed? It's pretty shitty to sue her over this.

Rich divorced couple fight over winery sounds like an 80s nighttime soap plot. Tonight on Falcon Crest . . .

If you’re a recovering alcoholic, maybe you shouldn’t own a winery? Sam Malone was a fantasy fiction character.

I’m not a lawyer either but work in M&A and the fact that they didn’t have a partnership agreement that gave each partner first right of refusal if one wanted to sell is almost comically amateurish. I’ve literally never seen that, including among family members.  You lay that shit out while everyone is getting along

He forgot to add “no take backs” at the end so the contract is null and void.
