There are certain things that are common benefits for office workers that absolutely can and should be common for restaurant workers. Paid vacation, paid sick leave, decent health insurance, guaranteed lunch break, holiday pay, 401k, etc. The restaurant group I work for is actually one of the better ones in terms of

Not everyone in restaurants depends on tips, only front of house. Back of house employees are usually just hourly. I’m a prep cook and I’d prefer four ten-hour shifts a week. Although of course I’m currently working 9 or 10 hours a day five days a week so it would more realistically be four twelve hour shifts a week.

I don’t understand why there’s always someone who insists on using artificial flavoring (like the bubblegum) when that never ever goes over well with the judges. Learn from the mistakes of previous contestants, people.

Fuck cancer and fuck this year.

Just watched it. Was excellent.

Yeah, at times she gets a certain expression on her face that looks so much like Gillian Jacobs that I can’t believe they’re not sisters.

Dear Hollywood,

So far nothing has left as far as I know. Since Disney owns all the content on there instead of licensing it like Netflix they will probably just keep adding stuff gradually.

False. My cat is the most beautiful. And he’s from a shelter, not a breeder.

They trolled him by making him and his team think there was going to be a much bigger crowd than there was. Attendance would have still been low, but had they known that they wouldn’t have hyped it so much or had the “overflow” area that ended up being empty and making him look foolish.

I don’t know if this necessarily means people are consuming more mayo so much as people are consuming more mayo at home (and thus buying more Hellmann’s). Restaurants that serve sandwiches typically use a shit ton of mayo, but they often either use cheaper brands at shittier restaurants or make their own at nicer

How to not cheat on your partner:

Cantaloupe gelato is fairly common in Italy. I had it once, it was very good. But I agree, it should be a thing everywhere.

Yeah, I feel like Dan was being a little harsh on the other woman and not harsh enough on the guy. He’s apparently just flirting and has no intention of doing anything with the other woman, but does she know that or is he stringing her along? Also I feel like showing nude pictures someone sent you to someone else is a

I’m pretty sure I was (and maybe still am) able to to get Quibi for free by having a T-Mobile family plan, yet I still didn’t bother downloading it.

I also thought Space Force was great. I didn’t know too much about it going in other than it had a lot of funny people in it. Finished it last night, and then I looked up reviews and was surprised to find that a lot of people didn’t really care for it. I found it hilarious and I really hope it gets a second season.

Yeah, and most of the time for dishes that do need to be soaked, 5 to 10 minutes in hot soapy water is plenty to get the crusty stuff off.

I must have gotten lucky. I signed up three weeks ago and just got my first box yesterday. I assume it varies depending on location though.

The only reason I can think of for the cook’s behavior is if the guy was a massive dick about the way he complained about the eggs the first time, so the cook thought it would be hilarious to keep giving him the wrong kind of eggs. I’m picturing the cook as a teenager or early 20-something stoner who won’t shut up

I’ve been making my own tortillas lately as well using Maseca. I’ve only done it three times so far, so I’m hardly an expert, but the trick I’ve found to making them not brittle at all is to wrap them well in a kitchen towel and let them sit for a while that way, they steam together and soften nicely. The recipe I
