Ooh, I like that moss green. Reminds me of the Canteen Green nissan used to use on pathfinders. Companies are starting to figure out that very warm greens read as rugged, and don’t weird people out like the 90's cool greens.

I can read the lines here, and I’m using this to justify my opinion that metallic reds defeat the point of red. Yeah, soul crystal is pretty, but it feels less red. Same with yellow or orange. Only McLaren mantis green manages to pull it off.

I can’t use my employer benefits to buy a car though.

I never thought I’d be the ‘stick to sports’ guy, but ffs this Fancy Kristen shit reads like Borowitz report fan fiction

Somebody’s gotta make a trailer hitch for this eventually, right?

Yep. When I haven’t ridden in a while I forget that you actually have to hang on when you crank the throttle open.

Yeah, the lack of forward-cant makes it look too jeepey

Found the marketer lol.

Eh, it’s all a pendulum. Once everything looks shiny and overwrought, the way to stand out is to make something radically simple. Until everybody starts doing that...

The BMW logo had faux 3d shit, so it was due for an update. Simple as that.

In 2020, faux-3d gradients are considered very specific to the 2000's.

...or they used some very period-specific styling in the first place

True, the 3 was the only one where they were bold enough to ditch the grill entirely.

But range is one of the areas where the Germans are least competitive. To work on that tesla-head-start their only option is to add a bigger battery, and probably take a margin hit to keep the price competitive.

Not that that’s a bad idea from a long-run perspective.

There we go! Could use a center splitter to make the lower opening less mouthlike, but this is solid.

Yeah, but tesla planted the flag of ‘no grilles for EVs’, so now that’s the market expectation.

Seriously. Same with the long hood. Figure out how to make the natural EV proportions work with your design language

At first I was about to be all “It’s not like they’re getting thrown away”, but yeah, this is a great point. Even though all of those cars are going to get used and resold until they’re scrap, overproduction depresses prices on the used market, which makes the ‘not worth it to repair’ point come that much sooner.

Neither partner should use physical violence, but when they do, men end up with scratches or bruises, and women end up with broken bones and funerals.

huh, didn’t know about that one. looks sharp
