Pereira’s point seemed most confusing of all. If “we all would agree that’s pass interference,” which I think is true, how does it not meet the standard for being overturned, no matter how high that standard is? What is even the point of replay when you’re not overturning calls in situations like that? Isn’t the

yeah, this is the correct take. I fail to see any logical reason that replay review should somehow have a different definition of PI than exists in the rulebook.

I didn’t see the Chiefs/Colts play, but if that Pats/Giants play isn’t DPI, nothing is. They should just scrap the review rule (which I’m in favor of) if that’s not going to be flagged on replay.

We have seen how basketball can be an important form of people-to-people exchange that deepens ties between the United States and China.

What a time to be alive. We throw the people fighting communism under the bus both politically and economically. Nazi flags are flown by good people, and the flag of slavery and genocide is supported throughout certain parts of the land.

The thing about a market for a product like basketball is that no matter how mad the Chinese government would get, millions of Chinese people will still play basketball and as a result, enjoy basketball, and seek out the NBA.

Trump can’t even hide behind, “well, I thought Biden did something wrong and needed to be investigated!” because he didn’t start doing it until after Biden was running for president.

He also knows that being President may be the only thing keeping him out of prison, at this point.

That only works when one side has all the power and one side doesn’t.. when you have a cult that will listen to you no matter what the LAW says... well, it becomes a power struggle.

This is a deeply weird thing to say, because if he wasn’t being pressured to resign, what is anyone apologizing to him for? A few people have said this, like he just resigned in a way that confused everyone.

Since being shown that he had acted inappropriately with these women, he made a choice to be more mindful with pretty much everyone. I’m struggling to spin this as a negative.

Trump and Giulani have admitted multiple times that THEY DID IT!

He already brought up Pence, and that he also was somehow involved...

The White House itself releases a “transcript” that implicates the president and corroborates the whistleblower complaint and   Trumppetts are screaming that Democrats are making the whole thing up.  DAFUQ?

I would so love to see him turn on Rudy, what a show that would be!

You gotta read the whole thing. The one point that has not been made clear in reports and summations of this thing is how much foreign policy stuff Guliani was doing on behalf of Trump. He’s not a government employee. He’s Trump’s personal attorney.  He’s ALL OVER this thing. It’s not just one or two things.

Most kids are monsters, that's why we don't let them vote or drive or own flamethrowers. Developing a sense of empathy is part of the process of growing up.

For all the trolls bleating about the supposed lack of an “explicit quid pro quo,” it’s right there in the middle of the fucking call:

Big surprise: a person who was pampered, isolated, and catered to throughout their childhood, who has surrounded their self with Yes-Men for decades, who has an enter operation within the government to censor his newsfeed for only positive news has a skewed and crooked perspective of the world.

Exactly. He has the same mindset as the internet trolls who installed him in office— he honestly thinks “I didn’t say the exact words! Therefore, TOTALLY EXONERATED! Nanny nanny poo poo!” will stand up in court, because it works for him and his fans online. He thinks the “technicality” trick will work, he thinks the
